It’s important to get with the majority, isn’t it? That’s… that’s a big thing nowadays, isn’t it Reverend? That’s all there is is the majority.

The minority must have died on the cross two thousand years ago. You’ve all been so consumed by hate. It is the darkness.

Fullerton is the Twilight Zone ladies and gentleman and like I have said all along, it is never too late to do the right thing.

Now it is bullying? The report didn’t mention the word bullying. I see what appears to be perjury, filing a false police report, libel, defamation and slander and some psyc evaluations on the horizon. Release the tape Mr. Felz. Release the tape.

      • #7 by felz decision??? on October 27, 2014 - 5:40 am

Who’s decision is it to release the tape?

Why does getting the city to be honest and forthcoming have to be such a frigging huge deal???

        Just do it, Fullerton.

  5. #8 by Veritas on October 25, 2014 - 7:59 am

I would think lies and fabrication in police complaints, falsely accusing others can come back on these AT & T folks legally.

The city needs to release the video and because they haven’t makes me think that it proves the allegations are false.

What an orchestration and conglomeration of lies, corruption, deceit. High drama at the public comments podium Tuesday night.

The only “bullying” going on here is the statement in the police complaint by AT & T, the behavior of the three Fullerton city council members and their Establishment mob.

    Hmmm . . . . . . slander . . . . falsely accusing others . . . . .

    • #9 by Anonymous on November 4, 2014 - 9:56 pm

Mr. Whitaker did an astounding job tonight calling out the framework of corruption. What a great meeting. Dan Hughes made some very defamatory statements regarding Mr. Levinson tonight as he was caught in a lie. It was very unwise for a police chief to act and speak in such a fashion while he extols the virtues of his so called “objectivity”.

  6. #10 by Bill Chaffee on October 25, 2014 - 11:18 am

The public system is pro bully, not anti bully (granted there are individuals within the school system that are anti bully). When I was in the first grade at Raymond elementary school most of the time I would sit passively and daydream or stare at the clock. Then I was given an individually administered IQ test (my mother said that she was told that I scored “off the books on the verbal part of the test but that wouldn’t touch the puzzles”). After I was given the IQ test my first grade teacher would sneak up behind me and shake me and then she would say “Mr May says you’ve got to get to get to work”.
A large disparity between verbal IQ and performance IQ is supposed to be a red flag for a disability.
When I was in junior high bullies would follow me into the boys restroom and try to pick a fight me by spitting on me when I was trying to urinate. The fact of the matter is that the public school system is a cesspool of hatred for people with disabilities. The speakers at the council meeting were lying when they said that the schools are anti bully.

    • #11 by bullying bull on October 25, 2014 - 3:11 pm

I think it depends on who is being bullied as to if the behavior is to be condemned. If a gay is being bullied, then it will have the full attention of the school in getting remedied. If it is bullying based on race, then it will be dealt with.
However, if someone is bullied that marches to another drum, who is overweight, who just does not fit in, or is a white male, then that does not get the attention or remedy.

In the case of the ones posting in favor of casting what happened as bullying a woman, that is an attempt to garner sympathy for one of those popular causes that social engineers love to propagate. Forget the fact that there was no bullying going on, of a female, male, transgender, gay, or any other.

  7. #12 by Barry Levinson on October 25, 2014 - 12:16 pm

Veritas, standards are very important and they should always be applied evenly across the board. The only city representative who did that was Council member Bruce Whitaker.

    • #13 by Sad But Very True on July 31, 2016 - 12:10 pm

It is very sad that Bruce Whitaker has now succumbed to the pressure of a very corrupt city government. Since doing the right thing as it concerned Mr. Levinson almost 2 years ago, Mr. Whitaker’s leadership has been virtually nonexistent. Instead of demanding an investigation into the handling of the Levinson matter by Dan Hughes, he remained totally silent. Instead of standing for honest government, he has now terminated his one appointee, Mr. Levinson who has consistently demonstrated his integrity and courage as a Park and Recreation Committee member for 5 and one half years and as a outspoken citizen of Fullerton. Having a government title whether elected or appointed helps a candidate for council. The establishment did not want Mr. Levinson if he chose to run to be able to state that he is a Park and Recreation Commissioner as a November 2016 council candidate. Mr Whitaker will be running for reelection and it will state Fullerton City Council member but the much more descriptive title which is has earned is coward, phony and hypocrite. Those are the words that one should immediately think of when seeing Bruce Whitaker’s name.

  8. #14 by Bill Chaffee on October 25, 2014 - 8:11 pm

Of the current incumbents I think that Bruce Whitaker is the best. I admire Sean Paden for doing his homework. I think that he has a better understanding of the financial mess that the city is in than the other candidates.

  9. #15 by citizen on October 26, 2014 - 9:42 am

Really clever post Joe, but a really sad day in the town that I love. There is no justice in Fullerton. Where is Kelly’s justice? Where there is no justice there is no peace. Thank you Mr. Levinson, for day in and day out, standing for the good people of Fullerton.

  10. #16 by Diane H on October 27, 2014 - 7:21 pm

I was unable to attend the Tuesday city council meeting but asked Joe I to read my statement. Here it is, again:

“I was present at the time in which the allegations were made against two individuals, one of them being Mr. Levinson. I was interviewed by a Fullerton police detective a few weeks ago.
Of the allegations made against Mr. Levinson, I was not able to corroborate one of them. That is, the claims made against Mr. Levinson I did not know as true or what actually happened.

There appears to be a preoccupation with Mr. Levinson by members of the city council. The city of Fullerton has more pressing matters than to intervene and inject itself into matters going through the legal process.”

Subsequently, the complaint was given to me so that I could read all of the allegations made by the accusers. The claims against Messrs. Levinson, Gutierrez and Imbriano were extraordinarily UNTRUE. I was right there.

The city video needs to be made public.

  11. #17 by Barry Levinson on October 27, 2014 - 10:28 pm

Thank you Diane. Yes the publicly owned and paid for camera video must be made public immediately, not just one camera but the two 360% cameras in the lobby of the Fullerton City Hall. Let me state that it is a crime for anyone to destroy or alter a public video in any way. To be honest I was disappointed a little with the turnout to support me at the last council meeting. Election Day, November 4th is the next council meeting. It would be very appropriate for all people of good will at that next meeting to demand the two camera videos be immediately released to me, to Council Whitaker (incredibly the only council member who requested it) and to put it on the City of Fullerton website to give access to everyone. We the people are waiting Fullerton City Manager Joe Felz and Fullerton Police Chief Dan Hughes.

Yeah Sharon Kennedy has proven to be part of the Fullerton establishment. They will go a long way to protect the power structure.

        • #21 by Joe Imbriano on October 29, 2014 - 8:40 am

I am curious as to WHY Sharon Kennedy refused to publish the following statement from Diane Hickey that was provided to Sharon Kennedy,a witness to the non event that was attempted to be escalated to felony charges against Mr. Levinson. Sharon Kennedy instead decided to print what appear to be libelous statements against Mr. Levinson and Mr. Gutierrez.

          “Statement by Diane Hickey

I was present at the time in which the allegations were made against two individuals, one of them being Mr. Levinson. I was interviewed by a Fullerton police detective a few weeks ago.

Sharon Kennedy also refused to print my statement in its entirety as well as it relates to the issue

          Statement by Joe Imbriano

Why are you asking a citizen to provide footage when you should be asking the City. The lobby cams cover a very sensitive area. It is the MAIN entrance to a government building. Many high level government officials, business owners, members of the general public and even the homeless travel in and out of the building at all hours of the day and the evening. It is a very high priority area in terms of security. Surely with hundreds of millions of dollars allocated to it and the health and safety of the aforementioned as well as the hundreds of employees entrusted to it, the City of Fullerton would ensure that there would be adequate surveillance with system redundancy to record events that transpire in their lobby.

The burden of proof is on them. They brought the allegations Sharon, be objective and get them to release their footage. I am a private citizen. There will be no further comment from me on this matter due to legal reasons. I am sure you will understand. Thank you.

Sharon Kennedy, in my opinion, has and continues to violate the trust of Fullerton by continuing to run cover for those in high positions.

It is now time to expose Sharon Kennedy and what I believe to be her phony “Fullerton Observer” for what it is. I believe that it is a forked tongue mouthpiece for the establishment, a propaganda paper dedicated to maintaining the status quo and a weapon to attack those who have the guts in this town to speak the truth.

          • #22 by biased reporting on October 29, 2014 - 9:45 am

Agreed, if you look at the latest Fullerton Observer lots and lots of space was provided to people to voice their biased opinion of something to which they were not present and did not witness.

Is Pam Keller a valuable member of the establishment too? Her biased opinion was quite lengthy.

          • #23 by Anonymous on October 29, 2014 - 12:11 pm

I think that it would send a powerful message if your readers were to boycott ANY of the businesses that advertise their services in the Fullerton Observer.

They are all contributing to the delinquency of an elder, and are clearly providing the financial support for the propaganda that Sharon Kennedy spews forth so freely upon the residents of Fullerton.

                  Hey Joe,
You don’t suppose that when Sharon Kennedy was writing the article below that she was taking a thinly veiled swipe at you do you?

                  Polly’s Pies
                  Rumors swept through
                  Chicken Little’s neighborhood
recently- the pie was falling. The
                  wrecking ball would soon knock
                  our beloved Polly’s Pies
                  Restaurant to the ground in
favor of what many told us
would be a less tasty multi-level
                  apartment building, banishing
                  the original location that started
it all. 50 years of serving the best
pies in the land (my words)
would be gone, over a decade
left on their lease be damned, as
they would not be invited back
                  once the project was completed.
                  PIECE OF PIE
That area is in need of some Fullerton
love for sure, and certainly, some type of
development will be approved. To the
                  north across Wilshire, witness expanses
of dirt where buildings burned and were
swept away, cracked and littered parking
lots, and nearby, boarded up and empty
                  buildings.
Yet, Polly’s still looks and tastes as good
as always, a beacon in the asphalt jungle
and a jewel in a long ago forgotten strip
                  center.
What can be done? We did find that
the mixed use project has NOT been
approved but nothing is settled so all we
can say is, they are still there and once the
final decisions are made we will be sure to
                  let you know.”

                  • #27 by Joe Imbriano on May 8, 2016 - 10:04 am

I believe Sharon Kennedy lacks the intellectual honesty and the journalistic integrity accurately report to the residents what is going on with that parcel of land. She like Fitzpringle are providing a smokescreen for the machinery that is already running behind the scenes to hand it over to the developers. Sharon. like Fitzgerald are experts at parsing words. Polly’s is toast at that location. The handwriting is on the wall and the number is up on that place. Plans exist, handshakes have been made, and you are all being lied to. 500 units are coming to Raymond and Chapman unless you show up on 5-11-16 and tell the planning commission to remove May’a An Johnson due to her conflict of interest as an employee of SCAG and to tell them to vote down the scam. Even then it will still go to the council and they will probably approve it unless we can get Fitzgerald removed for her conflict of interest with her position as VP at Curt Pringle and associates. Fitzpringle put Maya’ An Johnson on the planning commission and all five councilmembers voted to appoint her.

Sharon wishes she lived in Chicken Little’s neighborhood. She also knows that the more Chicken Little’s name appears anywhere, the more the lights go on in people’s heads once they look Chicken Little up online. Does she even have the decency or courage to print my name in her pathetic rag? Of course not. All she and her secret gal pal Jan Flory writing in anonymously can do is take lame veiled pot shots at me. Here is how Sharon deals with my comments at city council meetings after embellishing the establishment sycophant drama queens presentations

“For other comments see the video of the
                    meeting on the city website.”

Of course the crumbling establishment is terrified giving any more name recognition to Joe Imbriano because as soon as anyone googles my name, the Fullerton Informer comes up the party gets closer to ending for all these goons. Sharon no longer has a monopoly on information in this town. The lock down is over for her, her minions and the establishment that for decades has been protected by her and her ilk. The internet leaves jokes like her and her clan in the dust as her rag ends up in the landfill anyway. The old guard is retrogressing and crumbling. A new day is dawning in Fullerton and regardless of which side of the dais I end up on, unlike these tools, I get to freely speak the truth. Conversely, nothing of the sort can be said for her or her spineless lackey operatives.

You know what is even more disgusting is how her reporters totally omit incredibly significant testimony at school board meetings as they relate to the safety, health and well being of the students. This has been going on for years. The behavior of Jan Youngman and Vivien Moreno as it relates to their outright censorship is despicable if not criminal. Sharon is already in the deep in the dregs as far as that goes as she may be the one that refuses to print what we present but regardless, children are being harmed and these women are totally responsible for covering it up.

What I don’t understand is that If Jane Rands and her pal wish to maintain any sense of credibility, why do they remain connected at the hip to such a slanted rag?

For now we will watch all of the lower life forms in Fullerton converge to discredit, derail, censor, twist, lie, cheat, steal, frame, maim, perhaps even murder and for sure, screw the residents even harder to keep their dirty train on the tracks. Will they be successful? How could evil ever triumph? It never has and it never will in the long run. Has history ever belied such a claim?

  13. #28 by Roger on October 28, 2014 - 11:22 am

The criminal investigations into Mr. Levinson’s and Mr. Gutierrez’s actions have been completed. The Orange County District Attorney has declined to file charges for lack of evidence. There is absolutely no reason for the surveillance footage from the foyer to be withheld from the public any longer.

The city must now release the video. Mr. Levinson, have you asked for the video to be released to you?

As a member of the public, I demand that it be included as an attachment to the agenda item immediately. I personally believe that it is just a matter of time before those involved will ironically find themselves sitting in front of yet another set of cameras, this time in an attorney’s office.

  14. #29 by Barry Levinson on October 28, 2014 - 1:16 pm

Absolutely, Roger I asked in a formal complaint letter hand delivered to the city manager’s office, the police chief office and to the city clerk’s office. All three were not in their office when I arrived during regular business hours. I also sent certified copies to all 5 council members and to our city attorney. Now almost six weeks later I am still waiting for the city to provide that to me along with a copy of the initial complaint filed against me. The investigation is over and the tape and the initial complaint filed against me are public property and should be released to me immediately. I ask again that the city release the video and the initial complaint filed against me. By not releasing the information immediately they are continuing to violate my rights as a private citizen.

Pursuant to my rights under the California Public Records Act (Government Code Section 6250 et seq.), I ask to obtain a copy of the following, which I understand to be held by your agency:

A CD copy of the City Hall lobby camera surveillance feed encompassing the time frame of the alleged incident involving Alfredo Gutierrez, and Barry Levinson with the ATT representative.

I ask for a determination on this request within 10 days of your receipt of it, and an even prompter reply if you can make that determination without having to review the record[s] in question.

I am sending a copy of this letter to your legal advisors at Jones and Meyer to help encourage a speedy determination, and I would likewise be happy to discuss my request with them at any time.

Mr. Levinson, you and Mr. Gutierrez need to lawyer up on this one. The reason the city has not released the video is because it is obviously not consistent with the allegations in the complaint. If that video showed anything it would have been handed out at the council meeting. They are just buying time hoping the issue will go away. They are friggin’ dreaming.

      The Fullerton Observer-front page-Barry Levinson-

They said the video from the city was of little use? Did they already review it? The videos on here are of tremendous value to Mr. Levinson and Mr. Gutierrez. The waist down footage in the reflection of the lobby doors tells the whole story that does not appear anywhere in the report or the Observer.

Remember when the FPD union boys thought it would be clever to send Detective Bair to the City Council meeting to make allegations against the city councilman who were unsupportive of the Fullerton Police Officers Associations tactics?

….then Defective Bair, who is at the time tasked with investigating sexual assaults, ends up black mailing one of the victims of a sexual assault, cover ups galore by his peers on the FPD, Bair gets himself fired, cost the city(residents) a ton of money after the victims sues the city of Fullerton residents for half a million in court.

          How’s that?

LOL you should be a writer. It wasn’t quite as you portrayed it but yea he liked the cooter. How much was it resolved for? And the key here, what year was that? I don’t call that corruption but I’ll give you a half of a merit point for effort.

The long awaited city video (paid for by the taxpayers) of the city hall the night in question proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the allegations against Mr. Levinson were totally bogus. The police report also has the testimony of Ms. Diane Hickey, who categorically stated that nothing occurred that evening. Yet members of the city establishment continue to cast dispersions on Mr. Levinson based on nothing more than animus and vindictiveness. Why are some tied so very closely with our city council and city government leaders trying so desperately to disparage Mr. Levinson, the truth be damned? We should not allow those in power to defame those whose only crime is to tell the truth about our city government. BEWARE OF THOSE IN POWER WHO HATE THE TRUTH!

It’s “aspersions” not “dispersions,” even though it would be fun to see Barry leave, smart guy who loves the truth.
