Why would both Fullerton Police Captains, John Siko and Scott Rudisil, good buddies with former Police Chief Danny Hughes retire at the same time? As Captains directly under the Police Chief they basically run the police department. All that experience leaving at the same time with one of the replacing Captains coming from the Anaheim Police Department with no FPD experience whatsoever. Is this just a coincidence? I do not think so Fullertonians because any Police Chief would want one captain with experience during this transitional time. But what if, like I said in the title, this was a clearing of the house? What if this was a clearing of the Danny Hughes connections at the top of the management food chain? Then under those circumstances it would make perfect sense.

This allowed a complete makeover of the FPD Command, namely first a New Police Chief and now two new Police Captains, Thomas Oliveras and Robert Dunn. John Siko and Scott Rudisil were closely tied to former Police Chief Danny Hughes.

Siko refused not once but twice to take a police report from us when we attempted to report obstruction of justice involving the former police chief.

They are now both gone and based on what I know about both of them, I say good riddance. Mike Chockek, another one of Hughes’ handmaidens also left the department abruptly and is now working with Hughes at Disneyland.

But Fullertonians it gets much more interesting. We now have heard from an anonymous source that another favorite son of Danny Hughes, Sgt. Jeff Corbett has been placed on Paid Administrative Leave. You remember Sgt. Corbett, the field Sgt. Danny boy called in the wee hours of November 9, 2016 to complete or should I maybe say not complete the job that four officers on the scene of the Joe Felz DUI accident apparently could not do according to former Police Chief Danny Hughes. Now if true, Corbett will be getting additional paid vacation for an extended period of time while under an apparent cloud at of course taxpayer’s expense.

We tried to confirm the status of Sgt. Jeff Corbett but our current Public Information Officer, another Danny Hughes favorite, Sgt Jon Radis would not confirm the current status of Sgt. Corbett. A Public Information Officer making close to $200,000 a year in salary and benefits would not give us the public any information. His reasoning was that it was a personnel matter and that according to Radus that is not given out.

Bulletin to PIO Radus. We did not ask for any details that would be found in his personnel record as to why he may have been placed on Paid Administrative Leave but were simply asking his current employment status, i.e. is he still on active duty or not. Don’t we as citizens of Fullerton have the right to know who is patrolling our streets? I think the answer is yes but Sgt. Radus refused to answer that very simple and straight forward question. Shame on you Sgt. Radus.

Read this anoymous unconfired information post to the Informer last year about Radus, Corbett, Siko, Hughes and others–This came from the same source that leaked the Felz drunken hit an run the morning after the election in 2016 that let the cat out of the bag.

“In the Hughes letter regarding Felz hit and run, DUI. Hughes writes that he calls Sgt. Corbett directly. There is something called the chain of command. After hours at a police department the Watch Commander is the acting “Chief of Police”. Why would the Chief of police violate the chain of command and call a field Sgt. directly? Does Hughes have no confidence in the decision-making ability of his Watch Commander Andrew Goodrich? This never happens and in itself is very suspect but we all know why it occurred. Is it possible that Sgt. Corbett called his buddy Hughes, “ The chief of the Untouchables” to directly to start the cover-up ball rolling?

Several days after this incident Division Commander Siko calls the four initial responding officers to his office, the officers are chastised for comments they made regarding the obvious state of extreme intoxication displayed by Felz and recorded on their Axon body cameras. The Captain was dismayed that the officers did not have the common sense to know when to turn off their cameras when dealing with a highly political situation. (An officer turning off a body camera in the middle of a call is a very serious policy violation and when politics are involved, just plain stupid). The Captain Siko told the officers that they had just ruined the life of a good man.

One other overlooked fact that may have factored into the nights decision making of the Felz incident by the Mayor, Chief of Police and Watch Commander was on-going police management salary negotiations. At the time of the incident Lt. Andrew Goodrich was representing the Fullerton police management bargaining group and was in the process of working out a new agreement with Felz and the HR manager. One wonders if the thought of leverage in a late night “get out of Jail free pass” played a role?

Hughes has a history of attempting to trump-up charges on his foes and people he hates. This goes all the back to his patrol days. Hughes has a broad interpretation and selective misunderstanding of the elements of a crime when it suits his needs which when needed he uses as a weapon against others, as in the case of Mr. Barry Levinson. In most if these past cases the charges were baseless and were shot down once they were review by the DA’s office as in the case of Mr. Levinson and Corporal Irish.

In the case of Corporal Paul Irish the department had suspended Irish for changing his mind about conducting briefing training on “seat belt policy” and instead spoke about “Ethics”. The changing of training topics by a presenter happens all the time in a police briefing and is not a violation of policy.

Most of the persons present at the Irish briefing were interviewed by PSB and married to their story…a couple supervisors present who knew of Irish’s past history for reporting Hughes and Hughes’ “Untouchables” for ethics violations had embellished their accounts of the Irish Briefing training. Why would those officers embellish and lie about what Irish said in briefing, to gain or maintain favor with Hughes to preserve the status quo?

Irish was never asked by PSB about a recording but when asked later by the lawyer representing the city if he had recorded his training, Irish told the lawyer that he in fact had a copy of the recording. Fearing that the recording would be used to impeach the conflicting statements of some “Untouchable” witnesses Hughes and the city’s lawyer fought to have it thrown out. Hughes argued that by Corporal Irish, recording himself in a police briefing room in a city building attending by 25 people (most of which are uniformed cops with cameras strapped to their chest) is “confidential communication” as defined by California penal code section 632 PC.

Hughes amended the administrative charges against Irish and now charged him with the crime of 632 PC. A criminal investigation was now conducted against Corporal Irish. Months later the DA reviewed the charges and determined that Irish committed no crime. Later during arbitration, Irish’s lawyer, Mr. Michael Williamson was able to prove that in fact not only no law was violated by Irish recording himself no departmental policy was violated either.

One piece of evidence introduced in the Irish arbitration that shed some light on the Fullerton Culture of Corruption was a copy of a poster that was hanging in the locker of Fullerton Police PIO Sgt. Jon Radus. It is a photo-shop likeness of a movie poster from the movie the “Untouchables”. It depicts the face of Dan Hughes overlooking a gun toting gang of thirty’s era cops with the faces of Sgt. Corbett, Sgt. Radus, Sgt. Garah and Sgt. Petropulos superimposed on the bodies. All of these police supervisors played a dubious role in the termination of Corporal Paul Irish.

The arbitrator allowed the photograph of the poster to be introduced to support the theory that this “Untouchables clique” may have played a role in the treatment of Corporal Irish.

After one listens to the briefing training given by Corporal Paul Irish on September 6th 2014 those present and the listener does not hear a bitter employee using the platform of briefing training as his personal soap box to deliver a self-serving diatribe. One hears a honest, proud seasoned cop fed-up with the corruption at his department and sick of working with crooked cops and the supervisors who support and defend them.

Corporal Paul Irish wants his job back. He wants to serve the community of Fullerton again. He thinks he can because Hughes and Felz are now gone. I fear that when the City Council hears the recording and knows the whole story behind the termination of Corporal Irish, fearful of more city embarrassment, they will offer him a settlement he can’t refuse just to go away.”

In Fullerton good news about our government only comes infrequently but the retirement, maybe encouraged by our new police chief of Siko and Rudisil is a very good thing.

We await to learn the fate of Sgt. Jeff Corbett as well. His departure would also be a very good sign that indeed the new police chief is clearing out the dead wood leftovers from the Danny Hughes regime. Will Tony Rackauckas, our OC DA finally step up and file obstruction of justice charges against Sgt. Corbett and Danny Hughes for allowing Joe Felz to be given a ride home after smashing his car into a tree and reeking like booze fleeing the scene of an accident? I can only pray that finally our DA will do the right thing.

The same week we learn this good news, we also suffer the indignity of having to pay an additional 12.3 million dollars to theFullerton Police Department for their outraguous pension expenses.

Like I said good news does not come often to Fullerton but at least in this case there is some good news along with the bad. After all with Nelson favorite Jennifer Fitzgerald, Doug Chafee, and Jesus Silva there will always be bad news coming out of the City of Fullerton. Add in conservative imposters’ and all around phonies Whitaker and Sebourn and that is why the City of Fullerton is a financial and infrastructure disaster. Keep those high rises coming in boys and girls. Every one of you vote for these monstrosities adding thousands of cars and no ability to handle the additional traffic. Along with taking care of the Public Employee Unions it is the only thing you know how to do apparently.

“In the last eight months i have been to shithole towns in New Mexico, Arizona, Missouri, Arkansas, Ohio, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Texas. (actually my time in Nashville was amazing, it’s not a shithole town), but the fact is that with the exception of New Jersey, which voted 55% to 41% for Hillary, every fucking place I have been to has overwhelming voted for Trump.

I left OC eight months ago. I left my amazing community of educators, artists, musicians, actors and activist. You guys are my friends, you are all I know, and I miss the shit out of you. But I made a choice to leave, and now you have been replaced by tradesmen, farmers, farm workers, homeless vets, homeless whatever, the poor, the unemployed, the exploited, and the under employed, and I hate to say this, but most of them voted for Trump or or they did not vote at all. I don’t hate to say this: I have fallen in love with almost all of them. They are good people. They are just gullible good people and they buy into the general viewpoint of those who feel fucked over and ignored, which is: “Trump is not a regular politician, he may be rough around the edges, but he says the shit no one else will dare say”. Well, maybe liberals need to say some fucking shit no politician would dare say, but we all kind of know that will never happen. We need to call out the corrupt bullshit in our own party. These good people who voted for trump (not including the racist cunts who also voted for Trump) are the result of a shite educational system (a big part of why our educational system is shite, is because the teacher association will protect the worst among them to save themselves. I am way the fuck left of center, but that does not mean I approve of what the teachers union does. You can all get fucked. When you protect the worst among you just so you can ensure that you get that 3% cost of living raise, you are no better than a dirty cop and you are certainly not thinking about the welfare of children … and fuck all Democrats who don’t have the balls to say that, and that is exactly every fucking Democrat who holds office today. Not one of them has ever spoken out about how fucked up the public employees unions are. So fuck all of them in the face.

There is a part of me that wants to say that I don’t give a fuck if a Republican or Democrat wins an election, because both are so corrupt and useless, but the more rational part of me must acknowledge that there is a difference. Liberals are lazy fucking, arrogant, cowards but at least we do not nominate a known rapist. Well done liberals. That is really all you can say for yourself. You don’t vote for a known rapist.

We all must know by now that Trump is bat shit crazy, easily diagnosed as narcissist (the most annoying of all mental illnesses), stupid as fuck (I would bet my life on my ability to win a game of chess, trivial pursuits, or the ever popular SAT version of Chutes and Ladders against that orange muppet) as well as him clearly being a spoiled, privileged, racist, opportunist cunt/dimwit. So, I do actually care about who fucking wins even if my candidate is a coward.

So my liberal friends … let me ask you: what the fuck are you going to do differently in the next three fucking years until the next election? I may actually want to return to the U.S. one day, so get your fucking shit together. If you hate Trump, and the only opposition to Trump you can make claim to, is that you voted last year and now you try to stay busy reposting a bunch of unvetted anti Trump shit on Facebook, you are in fact the reason Trump won. If your contribution to social media is that you only yell at people who voted for Trump, and only hang around people who voted for a Democrat, you are in fact the reason Trump won. Regular folk know you think of them as assholes, so why the fuck would they ever listen to your trite bullshit about inclusion. Please do something real for fucks sake. Take a risk, piss the wrong people off and let those who are suffering know that you will fight for them. Stop preaching to your own little hand picked social media fuckwittwitter choir, hoping for at least a dozen “likes” on every fucking meaningless liberal post you make on Facebook. There is far more important shit to tackle than your go to “we are better than them validation”.

Example: Cops are fucking killing unarmed brown men in your fucking town and they have been killing unarmed brown men since they day there were cops in your town. (there is one cop in Anaheim who has now shot three Hispanic men, Killing two of them, and he still has a fucking job). Why the fuck does that not seem to matter to most of you? It’s your fucking back yard. Please stand up for the families of these victims. The homeless, your fucking homeless, are ignored 70% of the time and treated like criminals the other 30% of the time. They are literally tortured by the police and municipal policies which exist only so we can push them into another community. We Liberals in fact give the police the best oily, guilt free, edging hand jobs north of Bangkok. Our rent boy attitude towards the police and fire association rises to the level of embarrassment. Please reflect upon all the times you have utter the words, “not all cops are bad” then ask yourself why you have never felt compelled to say “not all cobblers are bad”, “not all doctors are bad”, “not all hairdressers are bad”? The reason you feel compelled to utter those words is because, unlike every other profession, where you don’t need to make excuses for the members of that profession, the police have zero accountability, and without accountability every fucking one of those cunts becomes bad. it may make you feel better to think that there are a few of them out there that are not assholes, but the fact is they are all assholes. Not one of the 147 cops, who held a job in Fullerton on the day that Kelly Thomas was murdered, came forward to testify against those who murdered Kelly. Not fucking one.

Fact: Every fucking Democrat ever elected in Fullerton (The Silva’s, Jan Flory, Molly whatever, Chaffee .. even Josh Newman, whom I actually like) has been too cowardly to take on the Police Unions. Why the fuck is that? Some of them are my friends, but why do I need to turn to Republicans when I need help form officials to call out the police? Answer: Our elected liberals are cowards. For some reason having empathy towards the disenfranchised seems to also castrate people (if you think that sounds masochistic I don’t give a fuck). If Democrats actually had the balls to address issues like police violence, more than 35% of black and Hispanic registered voters might actually fucking show up to vote. Reflect upon how many Anglo OC liberals have ran for office, and at one of their campaign kick of meetings discussed their “get out the Hispanic vote strategy”. I’ve been there. Now reflect upon how many of them were actually successful. People are not as stupid, and they do not like being pandered to. If certain voter demographics don’t know who the fuck you are, it’s because you never wanted to know who the fuck they where, until you ran for office. So please, dig deep and try to start giving a fuck. Then 10 years after you give a fuck run for office, and no sooner.

Just because someone is a liberal, does not make them good and just because someone voted for Trump, does not make them bad. When we have science, logic, and righteousness on our side, and we still manage to alienate 1/2 of our citizens with our arrogance and refusal to call out our own corruption, we are to fucking blame. We need to do a better job of getting our message out and that means we actually need to come up with a fucking message.

The intentions of the Fullerton Taxpayers for Reform were to knock Kang out of the primary election, so that Newman, would end up on the November ballot and win. You see the Agran plant, Khang couldn’t be bothered with Bushala because he has already been bought and paid for by a camp at odds with Bushala. So many strings controlling things so hard to keep track. So what could have been the motivations of Tony Bushala and Jack Dean to inject their group and exert its influence into a Senate primary election? Was it to ensure Josh Newman’s place in Sacramento? To have a “friend obligated to return a favor in high places? Everyone knew that the anti Trump sentiment among the Latinos was going to fair well for the Democrats in this part of Orange County. Any politically savy individual would know that massive Latino voting block coupled with the illegals that have been registered to vote all showed up in droves. That is how we ended up with Jesus Silva on the City Council and Sharon Quirk Silva in the Assembly both edging out Republicans.It just had to be a homegrown dem for Bushala to play ball with.

Does Bushala’s meddling in this Senate race have anything to do with development? Of course it did. Is Jack Dean just along for the ride unaware of the Bushala high rise development agenda? It is doubtful. Jack is a smart man. We do know that an end run around local control over high density housing approvals has been the subject of several unsuceesful bills out of Sacramento just this year. It would certainly bode well for Bushala to bypass his plants on the council which have been hogtied by the relentless pressure of local activists.

Then we have the Shawn Nelson school of political science at work-focus on a narrow item like a tax and make it all about that. That is what Tony’s tool Sebourn did during the recall.

Isn’t it ironic how Bushala’s blog, The Friends for Fullerton’s Future is currently hosting articles that are promoting the recall of Josh Newman and they make it all about a gas tax? What did you expect a Democrat to do, vote down a tax increase? You think Newman will vote down Agenda 21, socialism that involves state mandated affordable housing construction? Heck no.

Well folks, Bushala was behind Newman all along and SB 827 just rolled off the printer in Sacramento a few days ago.

Bushala funded Bruce Whitaker for years and it just so happens that he is challenging Josh Newman who Bushala helped get elected in the recall election if it suceeds. Whitaker is full of crap if he acts like he wont support this bill because if Bruce had it his way, there would be no zoning at all. Whitaker is running a political con job while his most ardent supporter is Bushala is playing both sides of the aisle once more to ensure his influence finds its way to the Capital where SB 827 and other bills like it will find their way to the Senate floor for a full vote so they can make his family alot of money and ruin Fullerton for good with huge ten or twenty story apartment buildings all over the place.

This is a nightmare for Fullerton as this could add hundreds of thousands more people to Fullerton if a bill like this passes. Will this be a Bushala dream come true? Of course. For years he has from behind the scenes, attempted unsuceesfully to maneuver his political pawns to get huge develeopments through at the local level. His family owns a very large amount of properties around the train station. Tony Bushala is the father of transit oriented high density housing in Fullerton. SB 827 strips all local control away from cities and allows huge transit rich high density housing to be built within 1/2 to 1/4 mile of any transit center with virtually no height limits or parking requirements. This is nothing more than the State version of the DCCSP and the end of our quality of life in Fullerton as we know it.

Political operatives like Bushala can turn on someone on a dime when the wind starts blowing the wrong way. We sure have seen plenty of that in Fullerton.

No matter what the outcome of this recall and the subsequent elections, you have my word that we will continue to objectively work towards draining the swamp at City Hall, exposing and ridding Fullerton of its political operatives and continue fighting this Agenda 21 legislation designed to create the scientific kill grids in the compact cities as they get everyone into these high rise arrangements so they can be force vaccinated, microwaved, have their water dosed, drugged, doped up, medicated, fed the GMO’s, mind controlled with the TV screens everywhere and finally finished off to reduce the population. These creeps that want to turn Fullerton into downtown LA or New York City have another thing coming. On this my friends, you have my word.

Bruce Whitaker buries corruption for a living on the Fullerton City Council

It has been approximately 8 to 9 months since the City’s Christening of the Pinewood Stairs connecting Hillcrest Park and Lion’s Field. The FFFF website has posted new pictures rendering the condition of those stairs. They are simply falling apart with the problems increasing at a very rapid rate.

Yet where is State Senate Candidate Bruce Whitaker on this issue? The answer is that Bruce Whitaker has been totally silent since the beginning. It is very troubling that someone whose only theme for running for State Senate is to fight Sacramento Corruption is once again totally silent on this City of Fullerton corruption and there is no doubt that is what Pinewood Stairs represents.

Public Works director Don Hoppie needs to be fired over signing off on this outrageous fraud perpetrated on taxpayers.

$196,000 a year for Hugo Curiel and $148,000 a year for these Fullerton park and rec department managers Curiel and Loya who presided over this disaster (compensation source transparent california.com)

Sebourn mentioned his concern in response to citizen complaints and then failed to follow-up at all. Nice phony PR work Sebourn.

Fitzgerald’s response was to totally praise the stairs as a great triumph of city engineering and development.

Shawn Nelson plant Fitzgerald ignores the problem, doubles down and praises this construction defect lawsuit in the making as magnificent.

Who is one of her main supporters and mentors but none other than Shawn Nelson who is now running to replace Congressman Ed Royce. You remember Nelson, the guy who tried to put in a homeless shelter across the street from an elementary school that has many special needs children in attendance and tried to hand over a 100K commission to one of his supporters denying others the right to bid for that commission. The same supervisor who was against setting up an independent commission to look into OC Supervisor corruption. Here is Nelson hiding SCAG from the public at a candidate forum, yes the one who lobbied his head off to make sure Jennifer Fitzgerald got elected twice and he wants to be your Congressman?

Is this the best the Republican Party can provide as candidates, Bruce Whitaker for State Senate and Shawn Nelson for U.S. Congress? How pathetic? And the State Republican party wonders why Republicans have become pretty much meaningless throughout the entire state. A state that gave us Governor and then President Ronald Reagan. Should those true conservatives that care about our constitution and limited government providing freedom for its citizens, start a new Conservative Party in California? If the State Republican Party does not shape up and shape up really fast, the answer is probably yes!

As for the stairs, well you know you can’t put wood in concrete like that. It swells every time it gets wet. It should have had metal anchors with straps and bolts. So if the City doesn’t sue the contractor for construction defects, no one gets fired, no one goes to jail for this total ripoff, and someone gets hurt when this thing ends up red tagged after the next big rainstorm, well you know it will be you picking up the tab once again.

Question to Mayor Whitaker. As he prepares to have the last of his “Talk Around the Town” meetings with the public where he asks people to bring him questions, why has he not answered specific and direct questions that were posed by his then Park and Recreation Committee appointee, namely myself, one Barry Levinson? I SMELL A COMPLETE AND TOTAL FRAUD AND PHONY HERE! I ask that someone take the above list and ask the good Mayor for answers to any and all of the above ignored issues by him!

BARRY LEVINSON COUNTING THE MANY WAYS THAT COUNCIL MEMBER WHITAKER HAS FAILED THE GOOD PEOPLE OF FULLERTON AS FOLLOWS:

Bruce Whitaker voted to place Ma’Ayn Johnson, a S.C.A.G. senior planner to our Fullerton Planning Committee. S.C.A.G, the Southern California Association of Governments, has been pushing for high-rise, high-density development and the elimination of the automobile as agents of the United Nations Agenda 21 for decades. S.C.A.G is the largest unelected, taxpayer funded, governmental agency in the country and so-called limited government, Bruce Whitaker voted for her to be on our Fullerton Planning Commission when he himself stated there were 17 well-qualified candidates. This from a politician who claims to be for limited government. So what does total phony politician Bruce Whitaker do but vote for someone who is part of an unelected government body. That Fullertonians is taxation without representation. That goes against the principles of a constitutional republic. His wife incredulously stated sometime after this vote by Whitaker that he is against S.C.A.G. Whitaker to this day has never explained why he voted for a senior planner working for S.C.A.G. What a guy! What a phony politician!

Bruce Whitaker refused to respond verbally or in writing to my (Barry Levinson’s) extremely well documented analysis of a 4 to 5 million-dollar finding concerning the Fullerton Golf Course. I am a trained auditor with an MBA and work experience with Ernst and Young, a worldwide CPA firm as well as 12 years as an Internal auditor at the Corporate Headquarters of Northrop Grumman Corporation. A total of 35 years of accounting and auditing experience ignored by the Council member who appointed me to the Fullerton Park and Recreation Commission and gave no reason. I believe the reason he removed me is simple. I was apparently getting in the way of the city doing its corrupt, phony deals. I am referring to deals such as the DCCSP, College Town, the Summit House lease extension, and the Revised DCCSP (which would have also removed Polly’s Pies from its current long-time address and basically removed one of the few shopping centers in the eastern part of Fullerton). What a guy! What a phony politician!

A short time after he chose not to deal with my very large, extremely well documenting and supported finding, he asks for the establishment of an Audit Committee for our City. Of course his motion got no support and it died immediately. Was this by design? Was Bruce Whitaker being a hypocrite? Did Bruce ever discuss an audit committee with me or ask me as an auditor by trade to sit on such a Committee or give him input as to how to best set one up? NO. What a guy! What a phony politician!

Bruce Whitaker voted to repeal our Pedophile Residency Restriction Ordinance based on false information that the Fullerton law restricted all sex offenders from living within 2,000 feet of a school, park or licensed day-care center provided by City Attorney James Touchstone. In my public comments I made the point that our law specifically applies to only child sex offenders, not all sex offenders. The only negative court decisions related to laws that restricted all sex offenders. There was no case law against our much narrower Fullerton law, which impacted only child sex offenders.

Mr. Touchstone in presenting this agenda item to the Fullerton City Council took exception with my comments. He stated as follows:

“With respect, I must disagree with Mr. Levinson and his comments. Specifically, I am looking at the language before you right now of the municipal; code and it states that any sex offender is prohibited from residing within 2,000 feet of any school, park or day care center.” What Touchstone who helped write the law failed to tell the city council members was the definition of sex offender provided by the ordinance at 7.150.020H of the Fullerton Municipal Code is as follows:

“Sex offender means any person required by law to register with government entity as a sex offender for an offense against or involving a child or children, including, but not limited to, the California Sex Offender Registration Act, Penal Code Section 290, et seq.”

Mayor Bruce Whitaker ignored my comments completely and the Fullerton City Council never acknowledged the correction that I brought forth. But more importantly the city council voted at the second hearing for the ordinance to make it law with a unanimous vote again after I proved the City Attorney’s presentation was fatally flawed. Bruce Whitaker and the rest of the city council should be ashamed of themselves to allow a complete and proven falsehood to be used as an excuse to repeal a very important law for the protection of all our children from pedophiles. What kind of a guy allows false information from our City Attorney to be used to support the repeal of a law helping to protect children? The answer is Mayor Bruce Whitaker and the rest of the city council members. What a guy! What a phony and unethical politician!

Bruce Whitaker in a November 2014 council meeting stated that there was absolutely no evidence to support the charges brought against me by former Police Chief Dan Hughes. At that meeting Dan Hughes admitted that he could hate that guy (referring to me) and that he took total control of the investigation himself. When was the last time that any police chief took total control of an investigation including contacting people to interview them and then write the police report to the OC District Attorney recommending that they prosecute me? The answer is probably never or at least never in an honest police department. All this time the city, i.e. the police department would not make public the video camera tape where this so-called incident took place. A few weeks after the OCDA refused to charge me with a crime for lack of evidence, the city video was made public and it showed that no crime, no incident took place. Yet after a few others and I asked Bruce Whitaker and the rest of the council to open up an independent investigation on this matter, Whitaker and the rest of the council totally ignored our requests. What kind of a man acknowledges that the police pursuit of me certainly seemed to be all political payback based on nothing and yet drops the matter totally? That kind of a weak, cowardly man is none other than current Mayor Bruce Whitaker. The fact that he still sits on the Fullerton City council dais is shameful enough but to now want a huge promotion after the scandalous way he has handled himself is something only an extremely arrogant, self-center phony politician could do with a straight face. What a guy! What a phony politician!

Bruce Whitaker voted for the absolute worst redistricting map, which I call the high-density, high-rise developers and downtown nightclub owners’ map. It is the only map presented to the council that basically disenfranchises the good people who live in and around the downtown area of Fullerton. Rather than being in primarily one district, Popoff’s map divides our downtown residents into five small pieces attached to other neighborhoods throughout Fullerton. This is taxation without adequate representation. Jeremy Popoff, the owner of the Downtown Fullerton Slidebar and a $1,500 contributor to Bruce Whitaker’s past campaigns, wrote this map. Is this a coincidence or not? What a guy! What a phony politician!

Bruce Whitaker voted to make Jennifer Fitzgerald our Mayor almost guaranteeing her to be reelected with the help of the title Mayor on the ballot. I bring this up because so very often in speaking with me he stated how much he disagreed with so many of Council member Fitzgerald’s votes. What a guy! What a phony politician!

The Agenda item to extend an existing Summit House Restaurant lease deal, which sits on Fullerton City Park land was shameful. The Summit House, not the city already controlled options with the exact same terms including lease revenue to the city to the year 2041. In other words the Summit House was in the drivers seat until the year 2041 or 26 years from the date of this agenda item. But the Summit House wanted more and our totally inept and/or corrupt city council and city manager wanted to give them two additional 10-year lease extensions with the exact same terms all the way to October 2061.

This meant that the city council intentionally bypassed the Park and Recreation Committee for this important agenda issue. I was the only speaker at public comments to point out how the city manager and the city council wrongly bypassed the Park and Recreation Committee. Based on my bringing this failure by the city to the attention of all that night, it resulted in it supposedly going back to our committee for its recommendation before it went to council. Guess what, a little over a month later I learned that the agenda item was withdrawn by the Summit House Restaurant owner.

Question: Would any reasonable businessman leasing out property accept extending a lease with the same current terms for the next 46 years? Why didn’t Bruce Whitaker inform me as his appointee to the Park and Recreation Committee, that this agenda item had wrongly bypassed the Park and Recreation Committee by the city?

Question: Was Bruce Whitaker part of this plan to bypass the P and R Committee? If not, why did he not contact me as his appointed to that committee when he received his council member agenda package several days in advance. The agenda package clearly stated that the lease extension was recommended by the Park and Recreation Department and not the Park and Recreation Committee, which is the normal procedure. What a guy! What a phony politician!

Late last year, Bruce Whitaker complained about having to vote on a grant application due to a fast approaching deadline that had not yet been actually filled out by the city. I spoke at the very next city council meeting and informed Whitaker and the rest of the council that all they had to do to solve this problem permanently was to make it mandatory that staff present agenda items not at the last minute but rather at least 2 meetings prior to any deadline. In this way any information absent could be provided by the next meeting assuring that the council and the public had all the information necessary to make a fully informed decision. You would think that every council member especially Bruce Whitaker would be thrilled to finally have a permanent solution to an ongoing problem. But neither Council member Whitaker nor any other council members ever referred to my very easy and quick solution. I have to surmise that Bruce Whitaker’s objection to a grant application without it being filled out was just political gamesmanship to win some points with his constituents. For if he was serious about fixing the ongoing problem he would have pounced on my easy solution immediately. No he ignored my suggestion completely. How sad it is when our politicians are exposed for what they all too often are, which are totally phony self-centered individuals. What a guy! What a phony politician!

Just last month as Mayor he lead a unanimous vote to appoint David Hendricks our next Fullerton Police Chief. Forty percent of the council was absent that night but Whitaker led the charge to appoint him nevertheless. This shows the arrogance of Whitaker and the council to not wait until all were present to hear all the comments by the public about Hendricks prior to making their final decision. That vote with only 60% of the council present should have never taken place. Yet Whitaker allowed it to happen on his watch as Mayor. I guess we can conclude that this was just another of one of his mental lapses concerning his fiduciary responsibility to his constituents. What a guy! What a phony politician!

Whitaker takes no responsibility for all of his political failures. When confronted with the facts that except for legalizing fireworks he has accomplished nothing in his 6 plus years of service, his lame answer is always the same. His answer to these legitimate critiques is that he is only 1 person out of 5 on the dais. What he fails to tell us that Bruce Whitaker has been part of the majority as a Republican the entire time he has represented Fullerton. In fact, he has had either a 4 to 1 majority or a 3 to 2 majority the entire time of his service. Yet now he wants to represent us in the State Senate where he will be one voice out of dozens and his party will be a small minority not the majority he has had for all his time on the Fullerton City Council dais.

To those who believed and trusted Bruce Whitaker to represent us honestly based on his many years of his pontificating fiscally conservative values and limited government solutions, he has let us all down. He had such a golden opportunity to make a real difference in our City and instead especially over the past 2 years he decided to place politics and his own ambition in front of the needs of the people he swore to represent.

Concluding Remarks: Bruce Whitaker told me almost two year’s ago that he was planning to run for Shawn Nelson’s OC Supervisory seat when it became available in November 2018. As recently as a month or two ago on a local news show, he reiterated that he intended to run for Nelson’s Supervisor’s seat. Yet at the last minute he has changed his mind to run for the 29^thCa. Senate seat, now held by Josh Newman. First he wants to represent the people in his District of Orange County on local county issues and now he wants to be in the State Senate dealing with statewide issues. Why the sudden switch? I would guess that after Young Kim threw her hat into the supervisor’s race and got the lion’s share of support from local Republican Ca. elected officials, he decided to abruptly change course. Or maybe he just saw an opportunity to snag a large six-figure paycheck a year earlier. Does he really care about Fullertonians or is he just looking for that big six-figure paycheck on the government dole for a part-time job whether it is as a member of the OC Supervisors or whether it be a State representative?

With all this factual documentation showing Bruce Whitaker’s actions that goes against his so-called constitutional, limited government philosophy, any conservative who still votes for Bruce Whitaker must have his or her head buried deep in the ground. The only smart move by the electorate is to not ignore all the facts that I have presented in this article. His turning his back on his most loyal supporters can’t and should not be rewarded with a large promotion. You have let us down big time Council member Bruce Whitaker and hopefully now you will have to pay a political price for your phony political choices and your lack of leadership.

We have now come to learn that the image is so, so different than reality. All of the above examples prove Bruce Whitaker’s betrayal of his so-called constitutional conservative, limited government philosophy. Anyone objective enough to absorb the facts presented here now knows that the reality falls far short from the carefully cultivated image.

Let me state for the record that anyone who decides to vote for Bruce Whitaker with the “lesser of two evils” argument is only fooling themselves. A public servant who in my opinion is deceptive, disingenuous and repeatedly fails to follow his own supposed principles does not deserve your vote.

A Few Final Questions For The Fullerton Public As Follows:

How in good conscience could any parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle vote for a man, Bruce Whitaker who allowed proven false information about a Fullerton ordinance to be justification to repeal a very good law protecting Fullerton children from pedophiles?

How in good conscience can any voter support Bruce Whitaker after stating during a city council meeting that there was no evidence to support the recommendation by Police Chief Dan Hughes to have the OCDA indict me with a misdemeanor crime and then totally drops the ball? There was certainly much evidence that the investigation led by former Police Chief Dan Hughes, was extremely biased based on his stating to Whitaker that he hated the guy, referring to myself and his acknowledgement that he himself led the entire investigation, i.e. witch hunt from start to finish against me. There was however, incontrovertible evidence that proved my innocence and it was totally ignored by Dan Hughes. Why do you think Dan Hughes ignored evidence that was always controlled by the city namely the City videotape, which would have proven that there was no evidence to accuse me of any crime whatsoever? This is a textbook case of police abuse of power and a blatant attempt by Dan Hughes to make me a political prisoner. At the same time this evidence, the videotape, was hidden from the public for months, which 100% proved my innocence. Even though the investigation of the handling of this case by the FPD was requested by at least three people, two others and myself at city council meetings, Whitaker remained shamefully and cowardly silent on getting to the bottom of this apparent criminal misuse of police power. When you state there is a serious possible criminal misbehavior by the head of the Fullerton police department and Whitaker strongly inferred the same and then failed to take any action to investigate the alleged criminal abuse by the FPD, this defines the antithesis of a leader or a statesman. Again phony, corrupt and cowardly politician Bruce Whitaker never requested that any investigation be conducted to get to the bottom of this apparent total disregard for the law by our own police chief.

How in good conscience could any Fullerton voter cast his or her precious vote for a man who makes a mockery of the very things he has told us he stands for time and time again over his long and not very distinguished political career?

In 2012, Fullertonians by almost a 2 to 1 majority informed Bankhead, McKinley and Jones that we have had enough of them. Let us send a loud and very clear message that now we have no confidence in Bruce Whitaker in any position of political power.

Draining The Ed Royce Swamp and filling it back up with Young Kim

Unconfirmed sources to the Fullerton Informer have indicated that Ed Royce will not seek re election to a 14th term due soon to be released allegations of impropriety that could have far reaching implications for a handful of other Republical leaders as well.

He holds no town hall meetings and yet chairs various commitees in Washington DC. He has no children and yet chairs a commission on human trafficking. He lreralcame out of nowhere as he was INSTALLED into the US House of Representatives 25 years ago. For decades Ed Royce has been an institution in North Orange County with his name plastered all over the place in every election, running unopposed year after year. While going through the motions of his political machinations and his Kabuki theater, his voting record marches to the tune of a very different drum. Yes Royce is one of the sharpest tools of the military industrial complex’s, PNAC, Neocon, Jesuit inquisition collection while he strip mines the US Constitution with his votes for things like the Patriot Act, The TPP and the NDAA while he wraps himself in the American flag as he opens up the borders allowing eugenics programs to flourish. It is no wonder he HOLDS NO TOWN HALL MEETINGS. As the head of the foreign affairs committee with the blood of 4 million dead Muslims on his hands, he has the extreme audacity to send me a Christmas card every year.

Ed Royce launched the Human Trafficking Congressional Advisory Committee (HTCAC) back in 2013. He hasn’t done a single thing to stop human trafficing in his district whatsoever. The massage parlors are full of sex slaves all over his district and are open 24 hours a day.

Locally he works both sides of the aisle and runs the dirtiest political shell game in town. When he stamps his name on a candidate, you can bet they are either totally inept, clueless, easily controlled, and duplicitous and worst of all-dangerous. The Royce machine has always given us leaders that pose no threat to him and go along with the nefarious agendas under the guise of conservative leadership.

Royce’s rubber stamp candidate endorsements get handed out like liquor licenses did back when the Royce hacks cursed Fullerton with the downtown restaurant overlay district. Royce’s spawn has given Fullertonians more worthless and useless plants than it will ever need. One in particular is the most dangerous of them all.

Coyotes, cats, rats, rain and dogs and the death of the Golden State.

Coyotes are the top of the food chain in our urban version of suburbia, just under people. Coyotes, like dogs are omniverous meaning they eat both plants and animals. This time of year, the Coyotes normally will eat foliage, berries and other plant products that are common in their habitat. The problem is there is no rain and consequently no foilage. Cats kill rats that invade their territory and keep the rodent population in check. Hungry Coyotes are now eating the cats that used to eat the rats and now the rats have no predators except for rat poison that ends up killing the owls, possums and larger birds of prey that pick of a dead or a dying rat. Dogs and Coyotes are related and yet do not get along. The coyotes are now eating the dogs because the naturally occuring foilage and berries that the Coyotes eat are non existent from the total absence of rain. Now the Coyote and the rat populations have exploded because of this dastardly dry non existent winter. Both species have become brazen as of late and it is all due to the drought. Much worse times lie ahead for California and all of us.

Public employees’ work-related email and text messages sent on their personal devices through their private accounts are public records.

Brendan O’Reilly and Rob Sims cozy up before the agenda item is rammed through

Hangar 21’s Rob Sims and Fullerton Airport manager Brenden Oreilly sit next to each other during a council meeting where the council voted Air Combat USA out of The Fullerton Airport and voted to turn Mike Blackstone’s hangar into a nightclub.

It has been a long and winding road to get rid of a long time tenant at the airport and make room for Sims’s business. According to Mike Blackstone of Air Combat USA, it has been one riddled with crooked deals, lies and potentially criminal behavior. He has filed a lawsuit against the city for Breach of Contract.

One of the exhibits in the lawsuit is the text messages (click the screen shots below) between a city employee, namely the airport manager, Brendon Oreilly, and a La Habra reserve narcotics officer Rob Sims, who leases two helicopters for his aviation business that he wants to expand into an event business (read that nightclub on the tarmack)

At issue are allegations that City officials intentionally lied to Mike Blackstone about the lease renewal date in the wake of his father’s death and an ongoing mutiny inside his company.

Question: Why would a proven lie about which sex offenders are covered (all sex offenders in California’s Jessica’s Law vs. only Child Sex Offenders in the former Fullerton City Ordinance, No. 3149) be allowed to stand without not one person on the Fullerton City Council dais acknowledging the falsehood presented by City Attorney James Touchstone? Touchstone erroneously stated that Ordinance No. 3149 covered all sex offenders, which is a blatant falsehood. Why would they not correct the record when Joe Imbriano, Diane Hickey and myself pointed it out to them at council real time, prior to making a decision to rescind that ordinance based largely on that proven falsehood?

CHARACTER COUNTS as I proclaimed in the above video and not one person on the dais including the City Attorney Dick Jones, nor our Interim Police Chief acknowledged the egregious error. When an egregious error from our city attorney in an official presentation to council is brought to the attention of our city leaders, and they ignore correcting it, one could easily conclude that the error was in fact intentional. The fact that not one of the council members responded to us leads one to believe their was collusion on this issue, a clear Brown Act violation. So Dick Jones our City Attorney not only ignored the fact that his partner in his law firm Jones and Mayer misinformed the public with his false presentation and then Jones refused to acknowledge that error but also apparently ignored a very likely Brown Act violation.

Their actions potentially made our kids less safe by siding with a formerly convicted sex offender who filed lawsuits against 17 municipalities in California. The fact that our law was much more specific on who it impacted and covered was something that our city wanted not only to desperately ignore but to attempt to fool the public as well in the process. These are the actions of morally bankrupt elected and appointed officials and they should be roundly condemned for their scurrilous actions.

If you remember one thing come next election day, it is the above charade carried out by our City of Fullerton government at the expense of our children’s safety. With the knowledge what are entire city council did above, I know all of you will do the right thing and kick their corrupt, morally bankrupt backsides out of office permanently.

Where did all OF FULLERTON’S road repair money go?

Joe Imbriano questions why Fullerton has totally abandoned almost all street repair for decades. All other surrounding cities have the same issues with out of control pensions, payroll, and benefits costs and yet these surrounding cities have managed to repave all of their streets year after year and keep their streets in workable order.

We want answers and we aim to get them. Use your head folks, do the math. Meanwhile, Fullerton, with its huge property tax and sales tax base has its streets, water mains, and sewer pipes, almost all 200 miles of them crumbling in ruin while these stool pigeons on the council look the other way and push for massive highrise development and dirty favors for their crony pals. What was the purpose of Dan Hughes ordering the on scene officers to not administer the breathalyzer until Sgt. Corbett arrived.

What official FPD policy allowed for the intentional delaying of gathering evidence as the BAC drops with elapsed time and ascertaining this information as timely as possible is the only way justice can be served.

Well there are three points that jump out at me concerning the above.

First point is that over 13 months have passed since this incident occurred. It is important to note that Joe Felz was charged over9 months ago by the same DA’s Office with two misdemeanor counts.

Second and even more important point is that based on what we know for a fact, it is inconceivable to me or to any citizen with common sense to not come to the conclusion that Danny Hughes should be charged with obstruction of justice. Danny Hughes took over the investigation right after Joe Felz was allowed to speak with Danny Hughes at home at approximately 1:30 – 1:45 AM on November 9, 2016. Hughes asked that the officers on scene wait until his field sergeant gets to the scene for him to do a field sobriety test. We know this because we have it from none other than Danny Hughes himself. (See below the November 9, 2016 Memo from Fullerton Police Chief Dan Hughes to Fullerton City Council members.) An anonymous source to the Fullerton Informer stated that the officers on the scene were asked to shut down their cameras once Danny Hughes was contacted and the field sergeant he personally selected got involved in the case. Since that was from an anonymous source, I am hoping that this can be confirmed later, for I will be doing a FOIA or California Records request for a copy of all the camera footage taken during the entire time each officer was on the scene of the DUI accident.

But Fullertonians here is the key point. Danny Hughes’ field sergeant per the Dan Hughes memo was directed by Dan Hughes to perform a Field Sobriety Test instead of the very conclusive Breathalyzer Test (that should have been done right after Joe Felz was pulled over by FPD officers while attempting to leave the scene of this accident). Dan Hughes in the memo verified that the 1st sergeant originally at the scene smelled alcohol on Joe Felz. A police chief following proper police procedure should have ordered that one of the officers already on the scene perform a Breathalyzer Test, which would have conclusively told police whether Joe Felz was legally DUI.

A police chief following proper police procedures would have questioned why the officers had not already performed the Breathalyzer Test since it was verified alcohol was present on Joe Felz. No in fact Hughes made matters worse by ordering that any field sobriety tests be postponed wasting precious time until his field sergeant arrived and could perform a Field Sobriety Test not the specific and conclusive Breathalyzer Test. It is clear to me in my opinion that Dan Hughes did not have justice on his mind when he veered from any standard procedure with dealing with a possible drunk driving accident. Instead we know that after Dan Hughes personally selected field sergeant finally showed up at the scene that Joe Felz was driven home rather than arrested. (Please note that regardless of whether Joe Felz was legally drunk or not, his being caught red handed leaving the scene of the accident with damages was enough reason to arrest him on the spot.)

Now we know that there was probable cause here since the DA decided to charge Felz with two charges, DUI and leaving the scene of an accident with damages. Therefore, the DA in filing these charges believed that Danny Hughes and his hand selected field sergeant did not do there jobs properly concerning Joe Felz. If he felt Danny Hughes followed proper police procedure the proper course would have been the arrest of Joe Felz by the FPD in the early morning hours of November 9, 2016.

So my question is since Joe Felz was charged by the OCDA about nine months ago, what is taking so darn long for the DA to charge Danny Hughes and maybe include his field sergeant as well with obstruction of justice charges. By definition of the actions taken by the DA against Joe Felz, the DA must believe that Danny Hughes and his field sergeant did not do their jobs properly. Also by definition, please tell me in what police department or sheriff’s department is it proper police procedure to allow the suspect to call the Chief of Police at home in the wee hours of the morning. Please remember that Danny Hughes has only one direct boss at the City of Fullerton and that was none other than City Manager Joe Felz. Please tell me also in what police department or sheriff’s department is it proper procedure for a police chief to stop the critical, very time sensitive part of the investigation until his hand picked officer (field sergeant) can arrive at the scene.

There is one more point that supports the position of filing obstruction of justice charges against Danny Hughes. The OC DA’s own investigator of the accident Abraham Santos recommended that obstruction of justice charges be filed against former Police Chief Danny Hughes. He was subsequently removed from the case and his recommendation to this point has been obviously ignored.

There you have it Fullertonians and Deputy District Attorney Ebrahim Baytieh. I believe based on the facts there is more than enough evidence or probable cause to charge Danny Hughes with obstruction of justice. The fact that it has been alleged that Deputy District Attorney Bayieh is friends with Danny Hughes should not have any bearing in an honest District Attorney’s Office on whether Danny Hughes is charged or not.

Really the only question remaining is whether or not the Orange County District Attorney Office will in fact do the right thing, the ethical thing and as we have shown here the proper legal thing by following the evidence regardless of the close connection that every DA’s Office has with the police chiefs throughout the county.

P.S. There is one more matter that I believe must be addressed by our OCDA. I ask simply why hasn’t the OCDA Tony Rackauckas charged Westminster as well as Fullerton City Attorney Dick Jones with falsifying City of Westminster time cards in an attempt to collect a PERS pension from the City of Westminster in the future. It is my layman’s belief that falsifying times cards is a felony and Dick Jones committed that act over and over and over again for a sustained period of time. A very seasoned attorney such as Dick Jones should obviously know the difference between being a city employee vs. an independent contractor. Any first year law student at any second rate law school would have learned the obvious distinctions.

Re: Incident involving City Manager

On November 9, 2016 at approximately 0130 hours FPD officers were dispatched to 255 W. Glenwood regarding a possible collision where the vehicle had struck a curb and was stuck on the sidewalk. The driver was later determined to be city manager Joe Felz.

I received a telephone call at my residence from the Watch Commander who informed me that the city manager was involved in a minor single vehicle collision and that the sergeant believed the city manager was emitting an odor of alcohol. I informed the Watch Commander that I would call the sergeant to obtain additional information and that I would have the field sergeant conduct a preliminary assessment by performing Field Sobriety Tests and if the sergeant believed there was a level of intoxication that met the criteria to be a violation of the law, we would contact the CHP to investigate.

I provided the above directions to the field sergeant and also briefly spoke to the city manager on the phone to explain what protocol would be followed. The sergeant conducted the assessment and made the determination that the city manager had consumed alcohol, but did not meet the criteria of 23152(a) CVC. The city manager was driven home and his vehicle was towed.

During this time period, I also contacted Mayor Fitzgerald and informed her I was following the protocol of notifying the mayor about the contact with the city manager. I informed the mayor of the directions I had provided to the field sergeant and that I would re-contact her when the investigation was complete. Her only instructions were to follow normal procedures.

A collision report was documented under case 2016-74804 and a supplemental report will be completed by the sergeant documenting the assessment of the city manager.
