The Green Party Platform-By Barry Levinson

Below you have the 2012 Green Party Platform

Please go to Item I. Democracy Section D. Foreign Policy, A Real Road to Peace in the Middle East. Incredibly the only foreign country on the face of the map that the Green Party criticizes at all is Israel.

No negative comments about Russia, Iran, North Korea, Syria or Cuba. No comments about how much support is given by Iran to terrorists throughout the world.

As we, the sane world suffers another Islamist terrorist attack on a humor magazine in Paris executing 12 innocents and injuring many others, the Green Party remains silent on this deadly threat to freedom loving peoples throughout the world.

Reading the Green Party Platform, one might conclude that they believe if only Israel would no longer be a Jewish State, the world would be a much better place. Isn’t it ironic that under the broad heading of Democracy the Green Party chooses to criticize the only Democracy in the Middle East?

In my humble opinion, it is their irrational foreign policy position that makes the Green Party irrelevant to the vast majority of Americans and makes them unelectable on the national stage.

Jane Rands and Matt Leslie have been members of the Green Party for many years Roger.

The green party is just a bunch of liberals that hijacked the green peace movement. It is actually very involved in Agenda 21.

and this relates to Fullerton … how??

    • #7 by Masoud on January 8, 2015 - 10:15 am

To me sound like Zionist propaganda.

  6. #8 by Barry Levinson on January 8, 2015 - 11:30 am

Masoud you sound like a cowardly Jew hater hiding in the shadows.

To answer A closer look, it relates to Fullerton because these positions are held by Jane Rands, who has run for Fullerton City Council several times. Although not a city issue, all positions on issues held by people running for public office should be scrutinized. Her significant other, Matt Leslie, continues to publicly publish his anti-Israeli views and therefore is welcoming public debate. I am just responding to his publicly held position on the State of Israel.

When people do not respond to positions that they find repugnant, they are allowing that position to go unchallenged. I believe that can be very dangerous. A foreign policy party platform that singles out Israel as the only country that they believe needs to be criticized by them is of great concern to me and should be for all fair minded people.

Beheadings and mass murders take place all over Mexico all the time. They are our neighbors and yet we let those TERRORISTS run wild. Why is ISIS the only enemy? Is the exclusively Zionist protecting foreign policy a problem? It most certainly is. The cartels have killed thousands including Americans. Why don’t we deploy troops in Mexico? What about the terrorist regime running gulags in North Korea? Why don’t we deploy troops over there? Something is terribly amiss in our State Department.

Anonymous your comments are void of legitimacy.

No American troops have been either killed, injured or ever even deployed defending Israel.

P.S. If you actually read my entire post, you would have learned that I mention most of the countries that cause hardship for its people and instability around the world. I also mentioned the concern about terrorism as a danger to the United States and to other free nations. No one ever stated that ISIS was the only terrorist concern. In fact, Anonymous I did not even mention ISIS. The readers of this website must really get a good laugh from your insipid comments.

No conspiracies, no crazies- just a bunch of room temperature IQ’s who love to be lied to all the time. That’s all. You are in good company.

I wanted to expand on my answer to a closer look regarding this post’s relevance to Fullerton.

I posted the entire Green Party Platform. Some of their positions have a direct impact on local issues. By posting this I give the readers the opportunity to learn more about them.
