SAVE LAGUNA LAKE, FULLERTON’S TREASURE by Barry Levinson

SAVE LAGUNA LAKE, FULLERTON’S TREASURE

It is with great urgency that I write this article/post.
On Monday, May 11, 2015 a joint meeting of the Park and Recreation Committee and the Energy Resource Management Committee approved a far reaching proposal to impose an overall state mandated 28% reduction in our water usage that with council approval will go into effect on June 1, 2015. The highlights are as follows:

1. Both committees approved a Park and Recreation Department Plan to…(PLEASE SIT DOWN BEFORE READING THIS) SHUT OFF THE WATER TO LAGUNA LAKE ON JUNE 1 AND KEEP IT OFF FOR A MINIMUM OF 9 FULL MONTHS.
• The intent is to let the lakebed go dry! Not only will we not have use of our precious lake, but the city will be putting local residents in danger by increasing the possibility of West Nile Virus that occurs where there are large pools of stagnated water.
• The shut off of water at Laguna Lake will remove a significant habitat for many species of fish, ducks, coots, geese, turtles and birds. It would endanger all the wildlife that makes that lake their home.

• The timing for this could not be worse at the beginning of our long hot summer period.
2. Laguna Lake Park is the only public facility in Fullerton that is being asked to cease to exist for an extended unknown period of time as a lake. No fishing, nowildlife, no water. Where is the fairness or joint sacrifice in that decision?Twenty-six city sport parks and Fullerton School District fields only get a meager10% cut in water consumption. Does the city really think we are that gullible tobelieve that increasing the water cutbacks for those fields from 10% to 15% oreven 20% is not doable when the city is asking other neighborhood parks to cutback by as much as 85%?

3. Starting June 1st, every residence will be restricted to outside watering two days a week on the specific days mandated by the city. Any violations of these rules could result in the levying of fines against the homeowners.

4. In order to reach the 28% water reduction, the plan estimates that all homeowners must reduce their water consumption by 50%.

5. There are no ratepayer protections that the City will not raise our water rates significantly to make up for the reduced revenues that these cutbacks will automatically create. Any ordinance must include language that protects the ratepayers from having to financially bail out the city. Any attempt to recover lost revenue by the city should be directed at the State of California that is mandating these cutbacks.

6. Draining and refilling your pools or spas will also be subject to a fine. Therefore, pool owners will be fined for maintaining and repairing their pools as necessary. Pool owners will also be required to cover their pools at their own expense.
The above-mentioned meeting took place in the Grand Ballroom of the Community Center starting at 5:30 PM. Please note that the Park and Recreation Committee’s regular meeting place is the Fullerton Council Chambers starting not at 5:30 pm but at 6:30 pm. I learned of this dictated change via an emailed letter I received from City Manager, Joe Felz a mere 6 days prior to the scheduled meeting. I contacted both Park and Recreation Director and my fellow committee members to point out that both the change in venue and especially the time at this late date would make it more difficult for the public to attend this very important meeting impacting all of us. My concerns fell on deaf ears. Apparently I was the only person concerned with maximizing public involvement and allowing those hard working Fullertonians to have time to get to the meeting after work.

Although a plan for water conservation is being mandated by the State via Executive Order of Governor Jerry Brown, how it is accomplished is totally left up to each municipality. Therefore, I abstained from voting for it because the plan needs so much work before it is ready for prime time.
Two committees; yet yours truly was the only committee member who had any issues with this dictated plan by the Water Department and the Parks and Recreation Department. We were given no optional plans to consider.

When it comes before the council, the city can’t truthfully say that the two committees have approved the ordinance they will be voting on. (Park and Recreation Committee members only voted to approve those portions impacted Park and Recreation facilities.) We voted on a brief overview of the proposal presented by a power point presentation from Dave Schickling, Water Department Manager.
Question – Is it not reasonable to have a written copy of the proposed ordinance before being asked to vote on it? Obviously, that was not to be the case. May I suggest that many of you should seriously consider letting the chief administrator of Fullerton, City Manager, Joe Felz know that we do not approve of his methods.

PLEASE ATTEND THE MAY 19TH FULLERTON COUNCIL MEETING AT 6:30 PM TO SPEAK AGAINST THIS EXTREMELY BAD ORDINANCE. LET US COME TOGETHER AND PREVAIL!

A 40 millimeter decline in the States water storage over 12 years
    https://thefullertoninformer.com/californias-geo-engineered-drought/

and governor Moonbeam gets his jollies on April fools day with his executive order declaring the end of the line for homegrown food. Meanwhile, back on the ranch, Foollerton’s fluoride dosing king and water guru Dave Shickling via email backed up by a Monday night on camera confirms 70% of Foolerton’s water comes from the ground, well levels have dropped as much as 3 feet over 5 years (remains to be seen), wells are 1800 feet deep (the aquifer under Orange County is actually 4000 feet deep in some areas)

So we have to drain the lake in Barry’s backyard, you have to kill your lawn and garden and we have to keep the golf courses green for the pensioned alcoholics, their pathetic sock puppets and the posers.

Folks there you have it-3 feet out of 1800 feet or perhaps 4000 and maybe even less than 3 feet if he is telling the truth. At that rate how long will it take for Fullerton to run out of water? Lets do the math the non common core way where the answer really does matter- 3 feet drop over 5 years, 1800 feet of water so 600 x 5=3000 years? How about with a 4000 foot deep aquifer -Perhaps 5500 years?

Oh I know, the saltwater intrusion problem, yeah yeah I know. The Brookhurst plant sucks in seawater under PCH while it sends 750,000,000 gallons a day into the Pacific loaded up with chlorine, accelerants and other chemicals to kill all the fish instead of purifying it and pumping into the injection wells where all the sewer pipes under downtown HB are leaking into the groundwater. And you thought HB’s persistent elusive source of bacterial contamination came from the men’s restroom on PCH. Is that why they call it Sewer City USA. Hey Larry, you still there? Whatcha been up to?

Oh I forgot, we will run out of water because they cannot drill past 50 feet and go any deeper because they spent all the money on the pensions, police murder, rape and frame up lawsuits and the cheesecakes for the park and rec directors. Kill your lawns, brown it up and do your part like the Fitzpringle hack said on Monday and kill your gardens, water 2 days a week outside and watch your tomatoes turn into tortillas under the August moon while you are forced to eat the wall mart GMO franken fruit and atrazene laced Mexican hothouse veggies with the battery cable lead powder in your salsa, let’s let the place look like Jan Flourides home town Garden Grove where they park the cars on the dead grass, pile beer bottles next to where the dog shits and put the washing machines on the lawn and pass the bong and crack pipe. Hell we got all the bars, tat parlors, massage parlors and titty joints flanked by the work of graffitti artists your heart desires. This will be the place to be seen and it will be just in time for the Vape Chains to really spike the punch while we add 40,000 more housing units as you brush your teeth in the toilet water after you fill it from the hot water heater bucket with Chapman looking like Jakarta with a rice a roni trolley running down the middle. Folks they are gonna shut of the water while they force you to pump your kids full of vampire porn on channel five at 3 oclock and vaccines while Pletka keeps 10000 iPads in your daughters laps real close to her ovaries at school while you get your nails done while your husband falls asleep in front of some vampire on the idiot box drooling over a sourdough jack and a miller. Everything is gonna be just fine, fine, fine cuz I got one hand in my pocket and the other one is…………. No but really gang. Really?

I hope they drain the lake just to piss Levinson off. He will NEVER get on the City Council! His reputation is mud in Fullerton. He and Joe attack people just because the City Council votes and approves stuff they don’t want. Look for me soon sitting outside one of the City Council meetings, I’ll be giving away free tin foil hats!

I think you ought to be fashioning EMF shielding garments for your children and grandchildren in the FSD classrooms. Don’t you worry about Barry and I. Worry about your children. 109 scientists just got together and are calling BS to this whole wireless gig people like Schulze and Pletka and all the rest of you establishment morons are drunk on or just too emasculated to fight. FSD just spent millions of taxpayer funds on infertility pads just so the reproductive organs of the children can be altered with just the right frequency at point blank distance. Tin foil doesn’t do it a bit of justice.

Fullerton Res. hopes they drain the lake just to annoy me. It is not about me but rather about good governance and the health and safety of our community. How childish and vindictive is that Fullerton Res. that you want to punish thousands of people throughout Fullerton and in surrounding cities who regularly enjoy Laguna Lake?

There was not an empty seat at council last Tuesday and it was full of people who agreed with me that the city’ proposal to cut back on our water consumption left much to be desired. Approximately 35-40 people actually spoke out against the city’s plan to drain the lake. By the way unlike you Fullerton Res. they all gave their names and many even gave their addresses as well.

Levinson, tell everyone about how you attacked someone representing AT&T in the foyer and parking lot of City Hall. Are they are still pursuing damages against you. BTW, I always give my name and address when I attend Council meetings. Next time, I will turn around and look your sorry ass in the eye and let you know who I am. You don’t scare me one bit! If you would have attacked me in the parking lot that night, I would have knocked you are you butt. You are a bully and always will be. I equate you to Pat McKinley and Mike Sellers. You are no different when it comes to pushing your agendas.

The real bullies in this town are those that wear black uniforms that murder, rape, steal, torture, frame and wrap themselves in the flag. The real bullies in this town are the ones who just killed your ability to grow food. The real bullies in this town are those that poison the water that comes through your tap. The real bullies in this town are those that are sterilizing the children in the schools with the forced wireless exposure. The real bullies in this town and the ones that force vaccinate all of the school children. The real bullies in this town are the ones who stick cell towers next to peoples homes and schools. The real bullies in this town are the ones who force the brain damaging common core on the children. The real bullies in the this town are the ones that protect all of these people and post here anonymously like yourself. Come on out and join the club. Use your real name. I personally welcome you to the real media in Foolerton. I urge you to publicly stand for or against the tyranny, local government corruption, waste, eugenics, and every other evil we are trying to out here and at the microphone on Tuesday nights.

Fullerton Res. you fool no one but maybe yourself. Still no facts, no substance, no name, just a bunch of anger, hostility and unsupported personal attacks against Mr. Levinson. Even the alleged victim you allude to refused to collaborate the venomous fiction put forth by certain members of the Fullerton city establishment. The so-called victim did not file any charges. This person did not even report the so-called incident to the police but rather it came directly from city personnel who continue to this day to demonstrate a personal and political vendetta against Mr. Levinson.

The Fullerton establishment is clearly very scared that they will be held accountable for their slanderous and libelous actions against Mr. Levinson. Please keep up the good work Mr. Levinson. It is sad that you have to withstand these vicious unfounded personal attacks from anonymous, cowardly sources. I certainly hope that you file charges against those that have clearly intentionally wronged you. They deserve nothing less.

So where is Imbriano’s video of the whole thing? Just like councilmember Flory asked. Yeah I thought so.

    • #17 by Sad But True on May 26, 2015 - 12:14 pm

Ask Ms. Flory why the alleged victim said she did not remember if Mr. Levinson so much as even put a finger on her? Ask Ms. Flory why the alleged victim did not file a complaint? Ask Ms. Flory why the city contacted the alleged victim and not the other way around?

Ask Ms. Flory why she makes public comments such as “your mother didn’t breast feed you enough to a sitting Council member”?

Please Anonymous give us your name. I am sure Mr. Levinson would like to sue you for slander and libel.

Sounds like someone is off their meds for the weekend. Anger management may be in order for you when you come down.

    • #19 by Anonymous on May 26, 2015 - 5:11 pm

More hard work of tens of thousands of taxpayer funds down the proverbial drain. Why didnt they line the lake whey they dredged it? Cuz they were lining Mckinley and Felz’s and pensions.

    • #20 by Fullerton's Shameful City Hall on May 21, 2015 - 2:25 pm

Another comment with no substance. There must be someone out there with some measure of intelligence and integrity that can take a stab at debating Mr. Imbriano. But this incessant 5 year old playground drivel is so embarrassing for Anonymous.

So whenever you see his/her response, save yourself some valuable time and just hark back to elementary school days when the neighborhood bullies taunted others with their mindless attacks.

I just pray for our community that Anonymous is not a city of Fullerton employee.
