Mayor Fitzgerald along with the council majority have willfully put the city into millions of dollars of debt (current $2.8 million dollar deficit) and yet they want to keep on giving to their special interest buddies nonstop!
College Town Specific Plan,
Downtown Core and Corridor Specific Plan (DCCSP),
Hunt Branch Library proposed sale
They are hoping all will soon pass.
Need more proof of the intentions of our city council and city manager. Here is the Library Board of Trustees Agenda for February 25, 2016. Under Regular Business, Item No. 2 it states the following: Hunt Branch Future – Action Requested. That was the opaque way this city attempted to get the recommended approval for the sale of the Hunt Branch Library to come to council without anyone from the community being any the wiser. According to Jane Rands, Chris Meyer retired City Manager,
made a motion to recommend selling the property because of its hard to find location. In addition, Joe Felz suggested that the Hunt Branch Library and property should be sold to the Grace Ministries as a sole source transaction. The same city manager that wants this city council to give him total control over high-rise developments throughout most of Fullerton, wants to sole source the sale of Hunt Library. No surprise there, just the same old undemocratic, I want to be Emperor Joe. But last night at Fullerton City Council, the Emperor had no clothes but the same familiar brooding evil stare.
He was so shaken by my remarks that he even responded to me. He said that he did recommend the sole source sale to Grace Ministries because they came to him showing interest in buying the property and with the sale we could keep the building as a Historical Structure. He then stated that the whole explanation was way to complicated to go into at council. Really Joe, someone who has the floor for as long as he wants says he can’t go into the whole explanation for his underhanded, crony capitalism, neighborhood and taxpayer-screwing idea! You had all the time in the world Mr. Felz but you got caught with your pants down. Our Fullerton Emperor indeed has no clothes.
The city provided the residents of southwest Fullerton no warning, and no community outreach. They wanted to get this action item done as quickly and as quietly as possible. Only a city that has total contempt for its residents would attempt to pull off such a secretive end around to get their way.
The city council just gave the Police a 6% annual raise and the Firefighters a 9% raise over the next two years costing the taxpayers multi-millions of dollars but they say they do not have the money to keep the library open or apparently to even keep the property.
The following is what Joe Felz and our City Council is telling the good people of Fullerton.
- Hunt Branch Library and Park No,
- Decent Roads No,
- Decent Water and Sewer Pipes No,
- Entrance to 57 freeway from Nutwood Avenue expendable (i.e. let the commuters eat cake on the grass esplanade formerly Nutwood Avenue).
But they are in favor of the following:
- Much more traffic and congestion,
- Much more air pollution,
- Many more 8 story high-rises throughout the city, and
- Much more water rationing for the existing city residents as the size of the city grows tremendously.
This is the sad legacy of our City Council and City Manager would like to leave to the residents of Fullerton as Joe Felz retires with his approximately 200,000 dollar pension and Mayor Fitzgerald gets rewarded generously by Mr. Pringle for bringing home the bacon.
I report, you decide.

Fullerton is just fine. Don’t believe the hype. Go read the FFFF blog. I made predictions when TonyB and his boys were making bold predictions years ago. I even offered money to make bets on the future. No one would take them. They said the city would be bankrupt by the end of 2014. I said they would be thriving. Reserves. They said Sheriff’s. I said same PD and hiring. I said Tony and his boys would be long gone by 2015. Anyone heard from them? I said they missed the boat by not going after Squirky Silva because she bought socks for the transients and she would be gone to bigger things if they didn’t take her out. I was right.
Just remember. Never forget. Reality Is is the Fullerton Truth speaker. He knows. I also said DannyBoy and Feliz would thrive and make Fullerton the best city in the OC.
Reality Is is the real leader of this city.

Besides all his other less than admirable qualities, Reality Is…can be labeled a narcissist.
He is the “real leader”. He knows everything is”just fine” in Fullerton Government.
What about the 2.8 million dollar deficit?
What about the millions just given in raises to police, fire and the rest of the employees with no money to pay for them on top of the 2.8 million dollar deficit?
What about the worst roads, sewers and water system in Southern California?
What about the ripped up sidewalks and Don Hoppe telling the council that we only can afford 200K for repairs this year, which he stated was woefully inadequate?
What about the testimony by FPD Craig and Rubio that stated the FPD did everything by the book the night of Kelly Thomas murder, which guarantees that those officers suing for their jobs back, get a big payday courtesy of the crooked FPD and of course the Fullerton taxpayers?
What about the desperation of City Manager Joe Felz to sell the Hunt Branch Library as a sole source transaction? If you want to sell anything below market value that is the way to proceed. If you care about the taxpayer, it is never the way to proceed.
What about the city’s failure to fix Laguna Lake for over a decade, wasting millions of gallons of water?
What about the fact that the city hides its water usage by passing every dime of it to the ratepayers of Fullerton in the form of higher water bills?
I can go on and on but I have a dentist appointment Thursday.

Deficit? Where? I see a balanced budget. 🙂
Roads match California.
Raises? They got a raise. I’m waiting for the last 10 years comparison. Go ahead.
Craig and Rubio? Jesus. Jury said they did it by the book too. that was so long ago.
Felz is retiring next year. So is Danny.
I’m in my office. Come see me.
Love,
DannyBoy

It is part of the official Fullerton public record that by a 4 to 1 vote in favor by city council, the current two year budget (FY 15/16 and FY 16/17) was passed with a built in $2.8 million dollar deficit.
Please Joe remove this lying piece of refuse from this site permanently. He has never and will never add anything of value to this site.

Do they know how to stop spending money that they don’t have and why do these police and fire people think they deserve endless raises?
#8 by Reality Is.... on April 1, 2016 - 8:45 pm
Annony. I’ve said it more than 20 times now. You and Barry and Joe have thrown that out there many times. Endless raises and overbearing benefits.
I’ll ask it again. Show me the last 10 years of pay raises and benefit increases for police and fire in Fullerton. You all refer to it in every sentence about what is wrong with Fullerton but refuse to show me the chart for the last 10 years. Why is that? Maybe because it will show minimal if anything at all for increases in pay and benefits? Noooooo couldn’t be.
I’ll keep waiting. Proofs are something you have issues with. Go ahead. Prove me wrong.
