The con job Newman’s handlers pulled off that produced Newman’s victory gives Democrats control of two-thirds of the 40 seats in the Senate. This is enough for them to approve tax increases, suspend legislative rules, pass emergency legislation or overturn the governor’s vetoes without any support from Republicans.
Newman voted for Senate Bill 54, which unofficially has been called a “sanctuary state” bill. It bars state and local law enforcement agencies from using their resources, including money, facility, property, equipment or personnel, to help with immigration enforcement.
They would be prohibited from asking about immigration status. They would be prohibited from giving federal immigration authorities access to interview a person in custody or assisting them in immigration enforcement.
This massive burden is one of the main reasons California’s schools and infrastructure are in a total state of disrepair. Newman works for the illegals, not the taxpayers.

Did Senator NEWMAN ask: “Where has ALL my constituents gas tax dollars been going for years, since it certainly has NOT been going towards our roads and infrastructure?” Did Senator NEWMAN state the following as a “representative” and not a “politician” the following BEFORE voting YES::
“I can NOT in clear conscious burden anymore of my constituents, who are mostly middle class and struggling (UNLIKE myself) as their Senator, they can NOT afford any more burdensome taxes so I vote “NO”!
What answer were you given from Governor Brown on why he is doing others things that are not as important along with others Senator Newman BEFORE you voted YES on the gas tax and others new or increased taxes? Did you come out in public and in the newspapers to defend ALL those in your district when he called taxpayers who were against the gas tax “FREELOADERS”?
Senator Newman did you defend the taxpayer’s when they were verbally attack, abused and even threatened by a Liberal Orange County party chair for just having different viewpoints at the Walmart in Fullerton? What about that one lady in the video that was being intimidated and he refused to move aside when she asked? What it demonstrated for ALL who watched it how to silence any opposition by any means and you knew you were on video tape and still felt embolden since NO one has spoken up and condemned it and called for it to be stopped. What message does that send kids and adults on both college campuses and even in parking lots by bullying and threatening those who have a different viewpoint? If you agree what is being done look out, and if you disagree you are the foe even within the same party.
It shocked some people in the SAME political party of the man who did the abusive attacking that do not agree with that approach, but what are you doing about it Senator Newman? We have not heard a word and you have children also.
We have heard you defend “YOURSELF” but not the rest of us coming from ALL political parties. Did you forget that there are countless constituents both verbal and silent who were name called as “FREELOADERS” by your back up man Governor “TAX LOADER” Brown for being against his assault on all of us who are footing the bill!

WAKE UP the current (PPPP) has the will, power and the cards to deal themselves the “highest” poker hand ready to expose and conquer the rest of the “little people” taxpayers in our district and all of California regardless of political party.
So their (PPPP) shuffled, dealt and stacked cards against ALL of us got slammed down in our taxpaying faces finally for all to see ONLY AFTER voting YES to increase and add more tax burdens to our district and all cities! That is the thank you that some constituents got for voting for Senator Newman but SHHH do not say a word since it is FULLERTON’s and all of our district’s Best Kept Secret!
Do we have to accept a bad poker hand? Politicians want us to believe that there is NO redoing or reshuffling of the bad poker hand we were given folks when they voted YES to tax us even more.
Folks, even those of us that are normally quiet and our not part of the petition gathers but have signed it for “informed” and “valid” reasons our letting our voices be heard and some for the very first time. Setting ourselves up to be named called, silenced and if anyone disagrees with anything they read then considered disloyal even if they are part of the same political party. That is truly sad.
This is over taxation of ALL of us and if ANYONE is fortunate to be able to continue paying these taxes (as this trend WILL continue if something is NOT done) the you one of the minority in OUR district that is truly fortunate and this does NOT hurt you. Are you paying attention Senator Newman? Would you be willing to help pay all of our taxes so our kids can afford to live in California?
You defend YOURSELF Senator Newman in the papers and allow the Governor of California to disrespect your constituents by name calling the “freeloaders” as mentioned prior. Then to add insult to injury you HELP him (one vote at a time) over taxing us out of your district and even out of California! Voters are sick and tired of you running their own families off in some instances.

Forgot to mention that AFTER the YES vote on increasing all of our taxes (PPPP) we the taxpayers (TTTT) hear the following loud and clear which prompted the recall: “YOUR OUT OF LUCK” and if you do not like how we play politics with the gas tax and other increases now and in the future “BIG DEAL” go and try to recall and ALSO try repeal and we (PPPP) will CHANGE 110 year old TAXPAYER RIGHTS bill SB96 that has to do with recalls and referendums.
EVERYBODY loses because in the future ALL of us no matter what political affiliation may believe strongly in a cause and for 110 years we have had the “gem” of a bill SB96 that gives us ALL the right to recall for valid reasons.
REMEMBER that ALL taxpaying voters are losing with this change because if anytime OR for any valid reason they honestly believe that our elected official are NOT representing OUR best interest and NOT voting on behalf of ALL constituents who are already struggling to pay the taxes, then you will be delayed and possibly blocked from doing so in an expeditious manner.
DON’T BE FOOLED: The undermining of bill SB 96 really helped protect the “politician” that voted to help Governor Brown rapidly push through HIS agenda as all of us “freeloaders” as Brown calls us had to sit there and take it. Senator Newman did not even vote for it but made it clear he gave his VERBAL support and blessings on it. Senator Newman remained silent and never asked Governor Brown to apologize to ALL his constituents that oppose the gas tax. Like mentioned he “defends” himself BUT not those who oppose what he has done!
Everyone realizes that these out of control tax increases impact ALL political affiliations up and down California and can see our road SAFETY and infrastructure have NOT been a priority. So lets not tell that to taxpayers who support increased taxes and support Senator TAXMAN Newman they must not drive the roads with their children.
Did they get a chance to ask him questions and get solid answers of Newman BEFORE he voted YES? The rest of the constituents in Fullerton and all other cities did not and only found out after he voted YES! SHHHHH don’t ask, don’t tell where the money has gone since that might stir up the pot!
So why don’t we just turn a blind eye as taxpayers, stay silent because we are scared of instructional videos on how to intimidate and push people back into silence if they have a different opinion or political background. Just like what happened at the Fullerton Walmart in front of children and grand children that heard that profanity coming from the Chair of the OC Liberal party. By framing it as a political party issue by making it falsely appear that ALL other political party taxpayers are against the Liberals if they signed the petition, it takes the heat off of Senator Josh Newman. We are not easily conned no matter what side of the issue one is on. Taxpayers DO realize that in addition to trying to recall that there will be an effort to try to repeal the unwanted gas tax or decrease it, because Sacramento FINALLY needs to be held accountable to why the roads were allowed to get so bad in the first place? While still taxing the heck out of ALL of us with gas tax money. You vote NO until the constituents get answers and their say in where their money goes and why. It is smoke and mirrors to think the majority do not know better by now.
In our district the majority of taxpayers just don’t take a strangers word for it but become informed, are intelligent and not political party puppets but are “independent” thinkers who before signing any petition we do our homework.
Senator Newman chose political loyalty to Governor Brown over loyalty to our district and his track record of voting speaks for itself in just a short time. What myself and others are taking away that are watching from the sidelines, reading this article and watching that Fullerton Walmart video is several groups that includes some long time taxpayer’s rights group are willing to put themselves on the line for ALL taxpayers regardless of political background or diversity. They are sending a strong message to Sacramento that we the taxpayers will not be ignored. You can find out they are “trying” on ALL of our behalf to have a “say” a “voice” to recall and try to repeal the gas tax and people realize this, since one has to do with the other. There are other cities up and down California as polls reflect that are upset with their “politicians” for voting YES when knowing people are struggling to stay in California and the elected officials are NOT!
We do not need a tax hiking “politicians” representing OUR district that he was assigned this time to represent and had failed to listen. We NEED loyal representatives, who ask the important questions and listen FIRST before voting. Who are willing to lose reelection to send a message that THEIR district comes FIRST over loyalty to any one political party.
