Would you automatically give your endorsement to a candidate who as of that moment has no official positions on any of the many grave problems facing Fullerton? Would you automatically give your endorsement to a first time candidate, who to my knowledge has not spoken out at any council meetings? I have never seen Sue Gapinski at any council meeting over the last 6 and one half years. Would you not want to at least listen to other candidates before automatically giving your endorsement?
So why did Bruce Whitaker encourage Sue Gapinski to run for a seat on the city council and I think is endorsing her as well? So why did Congressman Ed Royce endorse her? The answer is simple…dirty politics as usual. Council member Bruce Whitaker, your many self-proclamations that you are a statesman obviously has been thrown in a ditch based on your numerous and obvious dirty political moves over the last year.
I have spelled them out in detail over the last few months on this website and on my Facebook pages.
The reason I believe Ed Royce gave his endorsement to a total novice and unknown in the Fullerton political arena is simple. It is who you know not what you know. Sue Gapinski is Fullerton Republican Pat Shuff’s daughter. Pat Shuff has been very active in her support and voluntarism in many of Ed Royce’s campaigns for Congress. Bruce Whitaker and Ed Royce I believe both know the unknown Sue Gapinski has virtually no chance to win a seat on the Fullerton City Council but are hoping she takes away votes from Joe Imbriano, improving the chances for reelection for Jennifer Fitzgerald and Bruce Whitaker. In other words she is being used by the phony Fullerton Republican establishment. Are these the actions of honorable statesmen?

SANTA ANA — A former staff aide to Assembly Speaker Curt Pringle pleaded guilty Wednesday to participating in a Republican scheme to manipulate the ballot in last year’s 67th Assembly District election, becoming the third GOP worker in less than a week to be convicted in the election fraud case.
Mark Richard Denny, 27, a paid employee of the speaker until Tuesday, admitted that he illegally circulated nominating petitions on Sept. 21 for decoy Democrat Laurie Campbell. Denny resigned his post as a field representative in Pringle’s Garden Grove office Tuesday, his attorney said.
Denny–like two other GOP workers who have pleaded guilty since Friday to involvement in the scheme–named Rhonda Carmony, a top aide to Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Huntington Beach), as instrumental in the plan, according to their sworn declarations to the court.
