With the Fire department overtime scam spanning decades, we are broke. How would you like your neighbors to pay 97% of your retirement, get an extra 30%- 60% of your pay in an overtime bonus every year and get 90% of your highest year for life at retirement? Who needs to save any money when you have your neighbors by the throat for life?
It is time to say goodbye to the Fullerton Establishment and to begin to show which people that not only make it possible, but those who make it egregiously profitable for, and those who religiously court and cover for these greedy overpaid employees where the door really is. With so called leaders like Doug Chaffee,
Jan Flory
Jennifer Fitzgerald
and their Trojan Horse predecessors mainlining the union kool aid for decades, Fullerton has finally hit the wall. Red ink reality is setting in. The movement and awakening have begun. Fullerton is in decay and so are our leaders. The party is over folks. The in your face rape of the taxpayer is now being exposed and Fullerton is broke. Who will stand up for the residents against all the brass knuckled establishment hacks?
Forget the pinks shirts and the photo ops with the fire trucks. What about the ongoing decades old fire department overtime scam? Come on, who cares about a dog and pony show $18,000 donation to the flush with cash hospital. Look at these numbers. This is not charity, this is robbery.
Fullerton taxpayers paid out over $1,200,000 (one million two hundred thousand dollars) in overtime pay for the FULLERTON FIRE DEPARTMENT IN 2013 http://transparentcalifornia.com/salaries/search/?a=fullerton&q=fire&y=2013&page=1
SO WHY IS THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ASKING YOU FOR MONEY FOR CHARITY? TELL THEM YOU ALREADY GAVE AT THE OFFICE AND TELL CHAFFEE, FITZPRINGLE AND FLORY THEY NEED TO GO PACK THEIR BAGS.
We have $300,000,000 (3 hundred million) dollars worth of road, water main and sewer repairs that need to be made now. We have almost $200,000,000 (2 hundred million) dollars in unfunded pension liabilities for Fullerton. Forget the stupid parade and the fireworks shows. It is time to take care of business and that includes housekeeping as well. They almost tried via slight of hand, to ram through the disastrous Downtown Core and Corridor program this Tuesday night.
Thankfully, due to the light of day and the accuracy of the information war we waged, we shot down their trial balloon and Fullerton has been spared FOR NOW.
This is nothing to celebrate, nothing to smile about and is every reason to get rid of these elected officials that have betrayed all of us for far too long. It is 140,000 hardworking residents versus the greedy developers and the 700 city welfare recipient employees of which over 70 percent DO NOT EVEN LIVE IN OUR CITY. The municipal corporate welfare Ponzi (no offense Lou) scheme is going to be fully exposed here so fasten your seat belts folks because it is going to be a rough ride to the promised land. You have my word, we will make it or we will die trying to get all of us there. Time is on OUR side and so is the TRUTH. Stay tuned, AND SPREAD THE WORD
JOE IMBRIANO 4 FULLERTON CITY COUNCIL.

LOL love how you title things and how you make them read. You forgot to mention that your Fire and Police departments are exactly the same as the Fire and Police departments across the entire state. Overtime is also part of the fire department equation in order to operate. If someone is sick or gets hurt, you expect them to run short paramedics or firemen? That overtime number is actually low compared to most across the state. I guess what you are saying is you want a fire department that is low paid, low benefit, and that runs with no firemen or paramedics when people are sick or get injured? Well. LOL ok. Try it. You will end up with everyone leaving and then hire County Fire which will end up costing you more in the long run with the same pay and benefits on the back end. Sometimes you don’t think before you write things.

One issue at a time. Fullerton is broke and just because all the other cities are jumping off of the Brooklyn Bridge, that doesn’t mean we follow suit. Why do the Fire Trucks go out on paramedic calls? This is a racket and it is dangerous. There are ten thousand able bodied Fullerton residents that would be happy to have a job. No sacred cows when we are falling apart and flat broke. We are broke intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and integrity wise. No more gravy trains raping the taxpayers in Fullerton. Go do it in Stockton or Vallejo.

I agree, Joe, do we just look the other way when Fullerton goes down the tube? Pointing to other cities in CA that are going down the same tube and justifying this racket (it is a racket) and rip off does not make sense unless you are trying to distract, validate and perpetuate the machine.
“reality is” apparently wants this to continue and is working hard to keep the Fullerton status quo.

Not saying to look the other way. Do what you can. You can only do so much. I’ve asked why fire trucks go on paramedic calls for years. It’s simple. 2 people can’t handle a paramedic call. They need 5. So they rolll the truck. It’s not as simple as it sounds. Yes you can try to cut pay and benefits. Other cities have tried that too. Ends up where Fullerton then hires and trains people and they leave for the other cities shortly after to get better pay and benefits. Why would anyone stay in Fullerton when they can make much better pay and benefits next door? Your preaching things that have been talked about for years. People have tried what you say. It’s not that easy. Good luck. Fullerton is fine financially. They won’t find police and fire any cheaper long run anywhere else. Many cities in So Cal will go bankrupt long before Fullerton.

Fullerton is not fine financially. No city is. That is the point but the other cities are not my concern. Fullerton is where I live. Fullerton is my concern. The fire department overtime scam is a racket, period. Restructuring the department is the first order of business and that will never be accomplished by the Flory, Fitzgerald and Chaffee majority. That is why we aim to get elected and change that. You can laugh all you want but that changes nothing. We are moving forward.
