2000 years ago, the virgin birth of Jesus Christ ushered in beginning of the end of humanity’s, vain, futile and feeble attempts at covering its sin, and its hopeless aims to ameliorate its fallen, wicked nature. The sacrificial lamb had finally been divinely provided. Jesus Christ, being fully God and fully man, remained sinless, and obedient unto death. He was the one and only means of atonement who would willingly shed His blood on that old rugged cross for all sin; past, present and future for those who would willingly accept His payment. He humbly entered into a dark world, that today, is as dark as ever. Through a feed trough, He entered this world and left through an empty tomb on His way out. That Holy night, the demise of the deceiver, the destroyer, along with the demonic was finally at hand. Although today we at times may languish, we know now how the story ends.
As a result of the longstanding promise of Almighty God with a strong arm and an outstretched hand to those created in His image, unto us a child was born, unto us a Son was given, unto us a Savior is given even to this day.
On this Christmas day 2014, as we continue to battle the forces of darkness for the souls of men and women created in God’s image, and as we fight for the God-given reproductive rights of our children and their children, please take the time out of this day which has been so brazenly hijacked by Madison Avenue, and those who remain diametrically opposed to humanity’s divinely foreordained plan of salvation, to remember what happened that night in Bethlehem. Unto all of us, the power over darkness and the victory over sin and the grave was freely given.
2000 years later, while every last one of us was born into sin, we still find ourselves falling into sin, struggling with sin, or even living in sin. Thank God, the means of escape from, the victory over and the payment in full for the pardon was provided to all who would freely accept it from Him.
John 3:16- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Yes, the battle was epic and against all odds, the path of salvation was finally laid for us all. Let us strive to walk that narrow path that leads to life as we attempt to guide those who unknowingly run the wide path that leads unto death, into a new direction. Let us never be afraid to tell the truth about what matters most. Truth in 2014 is way beyond being called politically incorrect. It is now, ever increasingly being labeled as outright dangerous.
On this 25th of December, it is my sincerest and heartfelt desire that you would all come to accept the undeniable fact that we all need to humble ourselves as we turn our eyes inward. Let us examine ourselves, repent of our sin which means to turn from it, and accept what no one can deny and live for what so many still die for today-The One who paid it all:
-Jesus Christ.
