They say you can’t fight city hall? The hell you can’t. LAST NIGHT REAL ACTIVISTS CAME TO TOWN AND BOY DID THEY RIP FLORY AND FITZGERALD TO SHREDS with their lap dog Chaffee.
It can be said that best laid plans of mice and men, combined with some good old fashioned corruption yields a terrible mess. Well folks, here we are.

The problem is we play fair and they fight dirty. The city hall cabal lies, misrepresents, uses our tax money against us, embellishes, selectively enforces and passes illegal laws and even has resorted to attempting to frame and incarcerate people including my colleagues. I wont even go into what happened to Kelly Thomas. That is a another story altogether.
The opener was Dan Hughes. This was the first one he ever did as far as I can remember. He delivered the invocation to a meeting that will not soon be forgotten due to the dastardly nature of the ordinances that were passed and the overt public derision that preceded the attempts to dismantle the first amendment and bury alive what was left of government transparency.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE FACT THAT THE COUNCIL PASSED THIS ORDINANCE WAS DISGUSTING AND THEIR PALTRY RESISTANCE TO THIS TRAVESTY WAS DESPICABLE.
This ordinance deserved nothing more than outrage, not appreciation and gratitude by some in attendance and as far as the wording, well I could drive my 65 Chrysler New Yorker right through all the holes in this thing.
This is just another example of how the phony conservatives like Fitzgerald working with her evil twin Flory and her lap dog Chaffee with the other two so called conservatives up on the dais and their sycophants are morphing the once sleepy bedroom community of Fullerton into an Orwellian Agenda 21 police state replete with stackem’ and packem’ high rise housing nightmares with busted up roads awash in liquor. Of course we can thank the muzzled Nelson Royce plants on the dais for protecting Fitzpringle for 4 years while maintaining the 3 against 2 majority that comes up lose lose for the taxpayers every time.
Next time you talk to Bruce and Greg ask them why they appear to have no interest whatsoever in changing that dynamic much to the detriment of our community. It may just come as a surprise to all of you. Look what they have continued to ignore about the deciding vote on every deal on the dais. Listen up.

This if from Barry Levinson—–It is now 24 days since the first of two Fullerton City Council presentations (one read by Joe Imbriano for me) and another before the Parks and Recreation Committee detailing the 4 to 5 million dollar net revenue loss over a 20-year period starting in 2010 to the city based on the voluntary actions by our current City Manager, Joe Felz. It was Joe Felz who signed a first time Management Agreement arrangement vs. the already existing lease agreement with American Golf Corporation to manage the Fullerton City Golf Course. There has been absolutely no discussion by either the council or the committee and there has been no attempt to dialog with me, even after I have reached out time and time and time again to make myself available for questions, thoughts, etc. to all council members especially the one who appointed me (Bruce Whitaker) to the Commission. This fact truly saddens me for as you can plainly see for yourself, Council member Whitaker did a yeoman’s job not just defending me but showing how corrupt/biased Dan Hughes was from day one with regard to this frame-up against me, he by his own words in the above tape and by his actions lead from the very beginning. I can only speculate as to whether after this exchage a great deal of pressure and possible intimidation was served up against Mr. Whitaker to refrain from going after the City of Fullerton FPD and the rest of the elected and appointed establishment.
The irony here is that in performing my Park and Recreation Committee duties as his appointee including reviewing cell tower applications for approval or rejection, (I was the only council member voting no on this issue) to be placed on city park property and then speaking against the cell tower issue before the council, which lead to the phony frame-up charges headed up by the always self-proclaiming non-political, objective Police Chief Dan Hughes, with the help from Council Member’s Fitzgerald, Flory and Chaffee. Police Chief Hughes recommended to the District Attorney that I be officially charged with a crime, even though the city’s own videotape shows that the allegations were totally bogus and one witness independent from the city clearly stated that the incident never happened. But did that stop the self professed objective Police Chief who admitted on the video tape above that he just happens to hate me and that he believes my activist actions shows that I am crazy, no it did not. In fact, Dan Hughes in professing his objectively above doubles down on his last of objectivity with this incredible statement and I quote him here as follows: “THE MORE HE SPEAKS (REFERRING TO ME) THE MORE CRAYZ AND UNSTABLE PEOPLE THINK HE IS”. LOOK AT HIS HATEFUL AND TOTALLY DISINGENUOUS WORDS CAREFULLY. He is not just saying that people think I am crazy and unstable but that as I continue to be a active force for the truth and reform for the city of Fullerton the ‘more” crazy and unstable people think I am, according to the “good” chief Hughes. May I remind the “good” chief that it was you sir, while I was addressing the council several years ago, screamed out at me calling me a liar. It was you sir in the council chambers a few years ago when Samara Mohagan was talking to you privately about the continued alleged harassment by her ex-husband, Long Beach police officer, that you screamed an epithlet at her that could be heard clearly throughout the chamber. These two very public incidents certainly display your lack of civility and control sir. You sir are a disgrace to law enforcment. Your bias and you vindictiveness sets you at the very high end of what is absolutely not needed in any police officer let alone a police chief. Once again a high level Fullerton official exposes himself for exactly what he is with his own damning words and actions.
This is the same man, Dan Hughes running our FPD for the last 5 years. This is the same man who was the direct supervisor of all 6 police officers who beat an innocent man so seriously that he was unrecognizable, in a coma and died a few short days later. This is the same man who has his training officer, Rubio and the highest ranking officer on scene (Craig) at the Kelly Thomas beating death, both testifying in a criminal trial that all 6 officers including Craig followed all FPD polices and procedures. Really Dan Hughes. Yet the leaked Gennaco report states over and over again the numerous violations of FPD policies and procedure the night that Kelly Thomas sustained a brutal beating at the hands of the FPD. Please ladies and gentleman get the facts straight here. We paid a whole lot of money for the Gennaco report and the training officer and one of the people who Gennaco says veered from FPD policy, Sergeant Craig are still on the force in good standing.
All I can say is that looking at all the evidence it appears that the whole process was a complete white wash. What makes matters even worse, is that with the testimony of Rubio and Craig, almost guarantees that the city will either have to rehire those officers who are suing for their jobs back or more likely pay them millions of dollars to stay in retirement. Thank you so much Dan Hughes for your valuable service to our community. (Do you think Dan will let me read this at his retirement party?)
With all that on his resume, you would expect that a thoughtful and honest city council would not promote Dan Hughes to dog catcher but our city said he was perfect man to lead the department forward into a new era of…more of the same I guess vis a vis’ Ronald Bair, etc.
I am truly saddened and very troubled by the recent course of events concerning my well documented analysis showing that the Park and Recreation Department’s Alice Loya provided grossly incorrect information while recommending the city council approve this Management Agreement and that they did on 11/2/2010. The city taxpayers have been the big losers ever since and it will continue for the next 15 years (the remaining length of the bond issue) without the city council demanding that a new agreement with much better terms be signed between American Golf Corporation and the city. Do you think Mr. Felz that maybe the next agreement you sign with American Golf Corporation or indeed any company that agrees to manage our golf course could possibly consider the well being of the Fullerton taxpayers? I know you have a lot on your mind sir, but maybe that could be in your thoughts when you undertake a new agreement in the future. I say this because back in 2010 you signed this agreement as the relatively new ACTING CITY MANAGER to replace an on-going lease agreement and replace it with the Management Agreement and the 2.7 million dollar bond issue primarily used to pay for a new irrigation system for the golf course. The really hard thing to understand was that under the terms of trhe lease agreement, the city was not at all obligated to pay for a new multi-million dollar irrigation system. What a great deal for the taxpayers? What did the city government get out of this you may ask? On the surface, the only thing the city got was an infusion of a lump sum of cash from the bond issue at a very difficult financial time for the city and the country. What an auspicious beginning to your reign as Fullerton City Manager. What did the taxpayers get from this deal? They got the very short end of the stick. They received an on-going loss of net revenue from the golf course staring in 2010 that if it continues will eventually cost the taxpayers 4 to 5 million dollars. Are you not all totally bewildered why every single council member has ignoring my detailed analysis? Could it be a major cover-up by the city?
I report, you decide.
P.S. To the readers of the North Orange county Community Forum are you starting to see how incredibly compromised our elected and appointed leaders are and that corruption and cover-ups are not unusual here in the city of Fullerton. And to make matters even worse, what did the city council just pass but a weakening of our records retention program to allow the city to become less transparent as some city records can now be completely thrown away after a shorter time period. Bravo to Mayor Fitzgerald, the council majority and to City Manager Joe Felz for taking another step in making the city of Fullerton less transparent to the public. It gets even better because there was one serious and important recommendation made by the Gennaco Report. This was a recommendation for an totally independent Civil Police Review Board and our new PC, Dan Hughes being the transparent guy that he is fought tooth and nail and with the help of a compromised council majority….you guessed it got that one pesky reform that would have been a step in the right direction defeated. This was a major victory for making it much easier for the FPD to continue to hide police wrongdoing/misbehavior. Another defeat for greater transparency and the hope that police wrongdoing might be uncovered and dealt with through a fully functioning independent review board…………….Now I return you to the invocation given by Police Chief Dan Hughes at the April 5, 2016 Fullerton Council meeting. A few dozen of you have already seen this post. Please let me know your thoughts.
