We know our roads are a disaster. Every person who lives, works or goes to college in this city should sue the Fullerton Government for all the damage they have done to all of our vehicles. How many alignments must be done over and over again do to the very poor conditions of our road? How many tires wear unevenly directly caused again by the condition of our roads?
Not only that, the city ignored the almost double digit raises Fullerton police and fire have received via increased employer/taxpayer pension contributions for the last decade.
In 2010, the employer/taxpayer pension contribution was approximately 33% of their base pay. Now 7 years later it is at or above 60% and going higher. That means that over the last 7 years taxpayer pension costs has increased approximately 9% a year on average. No private sector employee (excluding some CEO’s, COO’s or CFO’s) gets anywhere close to those type of raises. Add in 4 to 6% salary raises given last year to our fire and police and you have 15% overall salary package raises last year alone.
As Mel Brooks kept on stating while playing French Kiing Louis XIV….it is good to be the king….but it apparently it is even better to be a police or fireman in the City of Fullerton. I say this since Louis XIV grandson and his wife did face the chopping block at the end of the French Revolution yet pensions still are sacrosanct in California.

You are correct anonymous. Mr.Sims is untouchable since his failure to follow the Fullerton Municipal Code and FAA guidelines for his business, Hanger 21 only resulted in the city of Fullerton charlatans rewarding not punishing him for his deeds. Isn’t that the kind of guy you want on the Narcotics Unit of La Habra Police Department? No.

The biggest problem with Hangar 21 is the man who works for the city and let’s Hangar 21 get away with everything. I have heard of other pilots and lease holders complain about hangar 21 to Branden or Brandan and he has turned around and run straight to Hangar 21 to tell them about the complaints. I have also heard of him yelling and threatening those who complain about him. Workers are told he is untouchable.

Everything you said is happening…There is a huge problem at the airport. Nothing will change unless we do something about it. This is not environment is not safe for all of us that fly out of the Fullerton Airport.
I’ve witness the airport go from a fun and welcoming place to a thug and mafia like environment where it appears that Rob Sims (La Habra Police Dept Best) ((cough)) and the airport manager Brendan O’Reilly are working together to destroy the airport. Rob Sims was once quoted, “I own this airport” and from the looks of it, this may be true. All of his posse drive vehicles with black tinted windows…..It’s concerning. Everyone is afraid to speak to each in fear that they may get evicted for any or no reason. It is not a safe environment for aviation. My drive into the airport was greeted with a good morning or a simple neighborly wave but I haven’t seen a smile on anyone’s face since Brendan took over and it’s only gotten worse since Hangar 21 moved in. You can feel the tension and the dark cloud looming over the airport. It’s understood that if you cross Brendan or Rob you pay someway or somehow and everyone prefers to keep their hangar doors closed while working on their aircraft, including myself. I do not trust the airport management team.
The good news is, no one is untouchable.
