We know our roads are a disaster. Every person who lives, works or goes to college in this city should sue the Fullerton Government for all the damage they have done to all of our vehicles. How many alignments must be done over and over again do to the very poor conditions of our road? How many tires wear unevenly directly caused again by the condition of our roads?
Not only that, the city ignored the almost double digit raises Fullerton police and fire have received via increased employer/taxpayer pension contributions for the last decade.
In 2010, the employer/taxpayer pension contribution was approximately 33% of their base pay. Now 7 years later it is at or above 60% and going higher. That means that over the last 7 years taxpayer pension costs has increased approximately 9% a year on average. No private sector employee (excluding some CEO’s, COO’s or CFO’s) gets anywhere close to those type of raises. Add in 4 to 6% salary raises given last year to our fire and police and you have 15% overall salary package raises last year alone.
As Mel Brooks kept on stating while playing French Kiing Louis XIV….it is good to be the king….but it apparently it is even better to be a police or fireman in the City of Fullerton. I say this since Louis XIV grandson and his wife did face the chopping block at the end of the French Revolution yet pensions still are sacrosanct in California.
I report, you decide…. Barry Levinson

Danny Hughes was guilty of obstruction of justice with regard to the Joe Felz case and the letter he wrote the very next day and was made public proves it
Danny Hughes recommended that a man he knew to be innocent, Barry Levinson be charged with a crime and so recommended to the OC DA. He was so filled with hate for Mr. Levinson as was reported by Council member Bruce Whitaker that he totally took over a phony misdemeanor case where the supposed victim at city council could not remember 2 months after the supposed incident if Mr. Levinson even touched her at all. Danny Hughes had the lobby tape of city hall that proved Mr. Levinson’stotal innocence. But when you are as corrupt and vindictive as former Police Chief Danny Hughes, you do not let the truth get in your way to attempt to commit your own crime of falsely trying to put a man in jail as a political prisoner. Danny Hughes as police chief ran this phony investigation from top to bottom and for that and the obstruction of justice of the Joe Felz case richly deserves to be in charged and hopefully convicted for his crimes.
And the law must be changed where a civil servant convicted of a crime especially on the job should have his/her pension taken away. In Fullerton crime has paid and has paid handsomely.
And to a large extent we have Tony Rackauskas our longtime Orange County District Attorney to blame for his apparently hands off policy of prosecuting police criminal activity. No one, especially a police chief should be above the law Mr OC DA.
A challenge to Tony Rackauckas, do the right thing or retire sir.
