McKinley didn’t hire and train all 6. He may have hired a few but he didn’t train them.
I responded to all of your DROP claims. I explained the program for you also. No one got a half million dollar drop payment. There is no such thing as a drop payment. It’s called a drop program and it’s used often by cities across the state as we speak. Maybe even Fullerton uses the program too. Research it or find my responses.

Why do you think so many in Fullerton support their city leaders, their police, their fire? You think they are all actually completely blind to reality or do you think they actually think and know they are doing a great job with the residents in mind at all times? Just because a city has a few people off their rocker 24/7 that say the police have never done a good thing ever, and city leaders have never done a good thing ever, doesn’t mean it’s actually true. To think otherwise, really shows your pure intelligence at this point.
It’s all about the truth. The reality. Being realistic. Don’t believe biased reporting and biased media. It will be the death of you.

And good avoidance on your factual claim first that McKinley was associated with LA Sheriff’s Dept first and then that McKinley hired and trained all of the Officers in the Kelly incident. Look up McKinley’s pension from all of his police agencies and his time on the council. Let me know what it is. Good reading. I like stories like that. Hard to tell what is true and what is pissed off employees making stuff up. James is and has been President for many many years. I hear and see stories like this all the time involving employees that are mad or bitter for whatever reason. I doubt anyone will ever know the whole story.
I see a common theme in they blog that I see here and always saw on FFFF. Article author appeared very biased, hateful, and bitter about something. Wonder what it is. I bet he’s at many council meetings complaint about things.
Yes FL. There is the same percentage of liars and thieves and whackos in police work as there is in any job. Not sure why that would surprise you. I’ll have to spell it out for you s-l-o-w-l-y in my post so that you and others can see that their is in fact such a thing as a DROP payment, and in this case, it’s in the amount of almost a half a million dollars to someone that’s been on the books as being retired since 2009?

Let me help you out a little bit since you seem to be a little slow. No one got a $500,000 check for their DROP program participation. You are one of those people that read articles and actually believe all of the article. You realize that 10% of what you read online is true? 10% of what you read on this blog is true, the other 90% is made up or enhanced to sway the reader. You hear of biased media? It’s all we have these days. There is no such thing as media anymore.
So since we know nothing about this Kearney guy let me take an educated guess, instead of assuming like you are. Most DROP programs are for one year. Some, like Fire, you can do it up to 5 years. It’s a program that was implemented to save cities and the state money. I know LAPD uses it for almost every employee that desires to work an extra year. So they get the services of that employee for that 1-5 years and they simply pay an hourly wage, no benefits, no retirement, no medical, etc.
So let’s say this Kearney clown is a fireman. Let’s say he took part in the LA DROP program for the 5 years. Then yes, over that 5 years he probably could have earned $500,000 total so that would make sense. Did he tell the City of LA to keep his wages for all 5 years so that he could get a lump sum payment in the end to roll into some type of investment?. Entirely possible I suppose. But with the link you keep providing, it’s impossible to say what he did.
In conclusion, Kearney didn’t get a check for $500,000 to spend that day. Could he have got one to roll into an investment option for retirement? Possible. Did he earn $500,000 from the DROP program over a 5 year period? Possible.
Only additional is that you have to do it immediately on the day of your retirement. So he would have had to do it in 2009 and then ended his drop program in 2014 if he did it for 5 years. All assumptions since we have zero facts in this case.
