and Doug Chaffee have all repeatedly voted to place cell towers in direct proximity to residential neighborhoods and schools ignoring the warnings that this will harm the residents and children.
Well folks, no one is watching these towers as the carriers continue to add more antennae and increase the power levels. Barry Levinson and I have brought this up repeatedly at Council meetings as well as during the Park and Rec meetings of which Barry Levinson is a commissioner. He is to be commended for his efforts to expose the collocation and unchecked power increase issue. You show me one city official that has questioned any of this besides Barry Levinson.
An even more incredible situation is now happening with regards to lawlessness, lack of oversight and the placement of cell towers. I am sure that most have noticed the additional layers of antennas that are being added to existing cell towers everywhere. Who is tracking this? NOBODY. The FCC that is in charge of tracking the exposure limits of cell towers is nowhere to be found and Mayors as well as city councils are doing nothing about this. Incredibly the FCC is closing its field offices so that those of us have to call the nearest office which is in San Francisco with a question or complaint. At least 1 in 10 cell towers already exceed the ridiculous, outdated and never protective FCC microwave exposure limits. It appears that telecom companies have free reign to install as many additional antenna arrays as they want while our children burn from within at the hands of the corporate assassins and their allies supposedly representing us in political office.
I visited the office that is responsible for licensing the placement of cell towers, after emailing and phoning numerous times with no reply. The woman, who was the sole person in charge of signing off on cell tower licenses, was no longer working there and had not been replaced. I left a list of questions for someone in charge should there be anybody and was assured that someone would get back to me with answers to my questions. That was 2 weeks ago — no reply.
Meanwhile, fast track legislation is speeding through congress that will allow cell towers to be placed without neighborhood notification and with a drastically shortened review period.
As if the research wasn’t bad enough and the corporate genocide, already confirmed by thousands of studies, wasn’t killing or giving cancer or autism to enough people. Read this piece by the amazing researcher, Amy Worthington, who has been working on this for 5 1/2 years, and contact any and all of our telecommunication employees posing as politicians and let them know what we think of their being accessories to murder.
Ladies and gentlemen, the following article by another hero in this fight is a must read:
